It's looking like scrambled eggs & cheese for breakfast this morning. I won't be able to sleep until I eat something. Guess that's going backwards, lol. Should be waking up to eat.
I hope I can get back on track soon. If I force myself to stay awake it'll be an absolutely miserable day.
Then again, I won't have to go through it again after that. I attempted that yesterday, but crashed hard after work and so it's repeating. It might take a couple days of this.

My facial muscles are borderline painful right now. I'm guessing it's from work yesterday. I'm glad today is a rest day.
Ibuprofen is my only option now. The other med is gone.
I'm also thinking this is normal pain from healing. The facial muscles got more use today, and that might be good for the swelling. I hope to see less swelling under my chin soon.

It doesn't hurt much anymore when my teeth touch. I hope it's now a thing of the past. I won't be biting down for a few weeks, so that should be time for the bone to continue fusing back together. It takes about six to eights weeks or so for it to fuse back. Once it does, it will be as good as new. That's actually incredible, I think.

I found a Kindle collection of everything Henry James ever wrote for less than $3. I nabbed it.
It's 3 a.m and I am wide awake with about five hours left until work. Nice. Yeah, this will be annoying for a while. I'll drink 2-3 cups of coffee and will be fine.

Today is day 30, btw. A full month since the surgery. At two months I'm supposedly healed. Full body healing at six months, meaning, whatever amount of numbness left at that point might be permanent, and up to a full year in some cases.
I was wondering exactly how many days it was....you are doing incredibly well.
I mean that....your attitude and determination are helping you a great deal.
I see you healing completely.

Having unusual soreness this morning. Not at work today. I really don't know if this is 'normal' soreness or what. Irked by the attitude of management. I told them they will hear from me when I feel able to go back in. In other words, they can kiss my rear end. No job is worth risking hurting myself after major surgery.

I took some ibuprofen just now. Really surprised I'm hurting today. I thought I was past it.
The past two days it feels like my face is 'tightening up' and I thought I was healing quickly. I could tell the muscles are reattaching and swelling was going down. Or so it seemed.
Maybe it's the two steps forward, one step backward kind of healing. Anyway, I'm fine. I will try not to get depressed. But I am so sick of being in bed. It's sunny out today. Was hoping to feel better.

Hi Jen, you are doing FAAAANTASTIC!
I guess healing is not a linear process but a series of thresholds that are crossed so it feels like two forward and one back sometimes.
Being back at work must have given your spirits a lift

It really did! For the first hour or two I felt happy and excited. Then the throbbing started in my left side, and I was so cold, and was jarring myself by moving around and talking so much. People were causing me to smile and laugh a lot, and after a while it just hurt. I had to sit down and warm up.
I couldn't drag myself back in there today.
I plan to go in tomorrow.
