Good morning, Overs :-)

Itchy, I hope Maggie's little surgery went ok.

My little furry one is now over 16 1/2 and I am noticing many signs of aging. Sometimes I find her just sitting on the rug looking around like she is confused. I keep the feliway diffuser going and hope that helps. She is more of a lap cat now. She has moments when she is like the kitty I've known for over 15 years. I know it will be hard for me when it's over so I simply enjoy her today.

It's cold here today - weather to stay indoors. It's currently 19 F and supposedly big winter storm coming this weekend. Next Monday it will be a year since I moved to the old folks' place on the ocean. It was a good choice.

Hi overs. Not been around for a few days not so well but getting there.

Oh itchy, so sorry for loss of Skylar, they're our buddies our family.

Loved your poem about living enough. Lovely.

Well, blizzard forecast for this weekend. Luckily, I am already stocked up with what we need. Grocery store is probably already full of people in a frenzy to get the last loaf of bread and carton of milk.

Maggie's little nip of a skin tag doggie style went well, thanks for asking Sassy.

She'd never been to the vet's alone before, as we always make it an outing for their rare ride in the car/truck, never mind being dropped off and having them mess with her. She got a ride yesterday and another one today. I dropped her off at 8:30 and picked her up at 4PM. I am exhausted as is my SH as she had to work today and we both had to get up early for us at 6AM. I got little sleep last night as I kept thinking about Sky's last day and had to look at pictures to shake those mental images and get back to what he really looked like all his life. We're both running on empty.

Thanks Toots!

Congrats Mags on 2.5! WooHoo!

Sassy it comes too soon for all of us creatures in this here feature presentation of life, the Universe, and everything! (Sorry Doug)

FBL nice!
Did you get autographs too?

Itchy, for some of us, as we approach the end of life, too soon and too late are both applicable depending on circumstances. I'm glad to hear that Maggie's skin tag removal went well. It must feel so strange and sad without sky!

Yep,
Maggie, instead of under my desk, sits at the front door now looking for him. We have storm doors and leave the entry doors open and storms closed, so the storm doors can let in the light. She is smaller than Skylar, about half his size, and she had a higher bark, more yippy than Sky's. She creeped me out today as she has suddenly, in the last 24 hours, changed her bark to a much deeper louder bark. When my wife came home today she made a strange very high pitched yip yip yip, crying like she was so glad mama came home. Dogs grieve. Sky was there since she was a five week old adoptee saved from the ditch.

It doesn't get easier.

Good luck with the blizzard everyone that is in its path!
