I do that too MB, believe me I know how you feel. I can be so cool and collected, then sometimes when it really counts I completely lose it. Maybe next time, you can mentally prepare yourself to be calm throughout. Idk. Maybe it's one of those things that you just have to accept about yourself. I'm sure your work speaks for yourself and your boss probably has been there himself, AND I'm sure he appreciates someone who cares so much about their work.

Me and my dog (Harley) are having a bit of a romance, haha. A lot of cuddling on the couch and he is never more than a few feet away from me. We just went for a little walk around, it is SOOOOO cold! But I stopped by the wood pile and finally blasted through one stupid log that I've been working on for three days. The axe went through and stuck into the chopping block, I felt like a MASTER, haha. Then my hands felt like they were going to fall off from the cold and me and harley literally ran to get inside!

Don't have much planned for today. Started laying out the magazine last night, it's exciting to see it on the pages!

Listening to Cat Stevens, sipping coffee. Fire going, I think it might be sunny today. It's -18C/0F.

Morning all, hope you have a nice time with your niece wolfie.

InPar.....Cat Stevens, a gorgeous dog, coffee and laying out a magazine sounds like heaven to me.
I worked in publishing for many years...I started in circulation, then advertising co-ordinator and secretary to the publisher of Money Magazine ( I didn't like that job much), and then I became a proof reader on another magazine, and learned sub-editing and production.

I have honestly never had so much fun in my life.
At one stage, I was working on production for "Dolly" magazine.
I was the girl who took Miranda Kerr into her first meeting with the magazine...she was so nervous! And Elle Macpherson invited me to her party for Cosmopolitan magazine. Standing in the bathroom talking to Sylvia Rayner (the editor in chief)....that was surreal.

I had a lot of promise. I could have had an incredible career.

InPar, I am glad you have your dog with you -- as far as he is concerned, home is where you are. I'm also glad you are staying with your small-town life for now. I envy you. I sooooo want to move away from the big city.

Morning overs, very cold and icy outside, not sure of the temp though. Got the coal fire going though will need to purchase more coal later.

Hope it's a good day for everyone. Pleased Harley is settled and at home with you, Inpar.

It might not be Dolly or Cosmo but I reckon there'd still be all kinds of magazines glad to make use of your experience, V

Good morning, Overs!

V, what Dee said :-)

InPar, so glad you have your four-pawed friend with you. There's something so incredible about living with them. The bond is so strong both ways and our lives are enriched.

It's -2F / -19C here this morning. At least my heat is working.

IP, glad you and Harley are settled-in and happy. Best of luck with the job situation.

Venus, sounds like you've got some very marketable skills. Hopefully you can find that dream job. I'm lucky to have worked at mine for nearly 24 years now.

Zip, how did the estate sale go yesterday?

Have a great Sunday, overs!

Me, too. I had my career and life mapped out. I never came close to achieving what I believe I could have. Now that my working days are over, I'm finally coming to terms with all that. I'm happier than I've ever been.

Thank you Dee...and all of you.

This year is fresh, and has endless possibilities.
I have a lot of irons in the fire right now, but I have a lot of time on my hands.
Single, live by myself, no parents to care for anymore....so yes, lots of time.

I need to honour myself and try again....you never know hey.

Rusty love, can we please see the tin lantern? And did you check it for a genie?

Love to all of the Overs. ♥
