Hey all, just stopping by, hope you all had a good holiday. Not much going on here, just some stuff around the house while its slow for work, little painting and such. Gotten in a little more skiing this year, so the hot tub has been getting its money's worth, best thing I did in years for sure, tension is just gone most of the time.

That's really about it, other than I quit smoking about 2 weeks ago, did the champix thing and a vaporizer, have stopped with the cigs so will begin stepping down with the nicotine in 2 more weeks. Hasn't been as bad as I thought it would be, habits way harder than physical for sure.

Hope everyone is doing well.

Hi gonzo! It's good to see you. Congratulations on quitting the cigarettes. How're the cats?

I'm working, trying to build up enough of a cv for promotion. The new semester starts next week and my schedule is full through the end of May. It's the same cycle year after year. If I get promoted, I'm thinking of trying to get away to New Zealand for a year, or even Washington DC. I need a change.

Hi everyone

It's been a while since I posted though I read most days.

How is the work on your promotion going courage? I wish you every success. Is your son still overseas? How are your travel plans going?

I'm sober and feeling good. Not counting days as such just making every day count. I feel I've let myself go a bit and the weight certainly creeps on quickly after 40! In exercising regularly and watching what I eat too and feel better than I have in years.

Still working at thge same place and have increased my hours which is good all round. Oh and I'm getting married this summer so very excited about that. Just the 2 of us no big affair!

Hope everyone is well

Hi, RAL! I'm glad you're feeling good and taking care of your health. Congratulations to the future Mr. RAL!

My son is still in Europe -- just broke his leg or something, gave me a scare. I'm still in the building stages of a promotion application -- trying to get a lot of work done to justify it. A promotion in my field takes about 2 years to go through. I don't want to go up and be shot down. No travel plans except that gruesome annual conference which is looming.

Hi PJ, Gonzo, Tamerua, Badger, Dee!

Thanks PJ. I'm going to talk to him tomorrow. I think he's fine (but broke with medical bills) but a mother worries, always.

How are you?

Hey all, hope everyone is enjoying spring here. Been busy with work stuff and still slowly working on things around the house. Starting spring yard cleanup soon too, still debating starting on finishing in the basement. Sold our contracting business as well, so taking some time for myself and then decide if I'll stay in civil construction or just do something else, maybe take some courses at the college here. Not much else on the go, my NHL team is 29th out of 30 so no playoffs this year, which is also fine, frees up lots of time.

Hope everyone is doing well.

Wow didn't know if this class was still going. I ain't posted in nearly 2 years. I guess we'll all be 5 years sober this December then. It's been a bloody struggle but I'm still sober. Still smashing the gym still eating stupid amounts of food and still fighting the fight. I don't know if anyone remembers me but I wish you all well.

Hey Stevie!!! I love that "still smashing the gym"! What was for breakfast???

Not all of us have continuously stayed the course like you have Congrats on that!!! But I've got more than 3 years, and I'm feeling good.

I hope everyone else in Dec 2012 is rocking & rolling.
