My son Christian is 36 today , but I can't see him. His partner won't answer the door , she has stopped me from seeing my granddaughter at school for reading and I don't know where to go from here

Keep on doing the next right thing Snooz.

I know this is painful but this is one of those things where the faults not with you.

I'm betting you didn't raise any dummies - have faith that things will work out in the long run

Morning friends,

(((Snoozy))) so sorry you are hurting. I don't understand that woman, but Dee is right - stay focused and keep being the wonderful person you are and things will work itself out. Sending you strength and hugs today. I also agree on sending him a card. We're here if you need us

Day 7 today and I had some big cravings last night. Posted on SR around 5ish and a few people got me through (thanks, again, Casey & Dee )Was feeling much better around 6:30, but it is scary how fast our thinking can change. I truly feel like sometimes I have a split personality. Anyway, feeling very grateful I didn't take that first drink last night. Abby has decided that she doesn't want to sleep through the night anymore so been up a lot the last 2 nights, ugh. Feeling tired today. Will have to watch for HALT later. Taking my mom out for her bd dinner tonight so should be safe Have a wonderful weekend friends!

We all have days like that Snooz (especially us mothers). Stay close to us. Is it close to bedtime there? Maybe just take a hot bath and snuggle up under the covers?

resolute 50 - Wow I was into watching WWF , before it turned WWE or something like that ? The way back oldies was the best . After that with Ed McMan < ? & his daughter - I kind of got out of it . I have a friend still into the newer ones . I do remember Rowdy - I will have to ask if he heard .
Snooz - I seen your having an upsetting day (( sorry )) I so wish one of my boys wife's would stay out of mine & my sons' business . Things would be much better between us Op's did I say in not so many words - I don't care much for my daughter n law LOL hope things turn around for ya

Darling Snoozy, I so feel for you. I agree with the idea of dropping off a card. You will get through this. I do hope your son will see sense soon, it's depriving his child of her wonderful grandmother. Please stay strong, don't drink over it.

Last night was good. I made a "whiplash" chicken, spicy chicken dish with lots of veggies, makes your nose run. Rod loved it and had seconds! He's very sweet and respectful. He brought wine and because he couldn't carry home an open bottle, I've got the bottle here. I put it in my basement, and don't feel any temptation at at all. We may be going swimming today. We've been having the most strong heatwave here lately.
I could taste the red wine when we kissed, but it didn't worry me at all, not start cravings. It's like Croissant and Dee said, I want different things now, in so many ways.

Drinking won't make you feel any better Snooz, and it could make the situation worse.

I have faith this will work out.

Until then, I'm really sorry, & I know how unfair it is, but I think this is pain you're going to have to sit with for a while
