Thanks guys, have 15 songs on the play list already, fantastic, 55 minutes of team a classics behind me! I have added alishas attic 'stone in my shoe', as it reminds me of the av, and ludovici 'diviniere' as it makes me feel serene, strong and ready. There are so many I could add from my collection, but I am filtering through them, I will add a few more for myself once I have picked which ones are worthy of going on the team a play list! I will list all the ones I put on my play list once I have all of your entries! These are all excellent suggestion. London, i love grace Kelly, that was on my list! Also eminem, brilliant choice! Thanks guys xx

A quick Hello!

My brother and family left yesterday, and my college roommate and her husband are arriving today.

I listen to oldies to exercise and to get "a lift."

The dark chocolate salted caramels are made by Dove Chocolates.

I went through all my pocketbooks, etc. I found less than $5.00, no other jewelry, a few pens, and many packages of gum and containers of mints.....we all know what the gum and mints were for!

It sounds like everyone is in a good place.

Let's keep on keeping on!

Hmmm....I've been thinking about songs, and I guess I never listen to the words enough to choose songs based on lyrics, so I'll give you some of my favorites....

Send me on my way-Rusted Root
Sometimes-Sweet Honey in the Rock
Coyote-Joni Mitchell
Feelin' Good-Nina Simone
They can't take that away from me-Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong

Hope everyone is having a good weekend!

Hey all

I am on my way to run my 10k race, eeeek! I have raised a good few quid for charity being sponsored so time to complete my end of the bargain.

I am strangely nervous but also excited. I think it will be fun. Recovery is a marvellous thing. I never thought I would be saying I am about to run a 10k around central London on a Sunday morning with 20,000 others. Wow!

I will post later - but have a great Sunday all :-))

Happy Sunday!

Go London!! Good luck dude, sounds super cool, post pics if you can! I brought my running shoes, but may skip it today because you are taking care of it for the team! Thank you!

Chilling on a clear head morning. Tough yesterday with all the drinking. Someone actually said, I miss the fun determined. I let it roll on by with a gentle smile. I am exactly the same, more fun I think. Outside skateboarding with the kids, playing games and actually worked a few hours before falling asleep around midnight. Up with coffee now, enjoying some good tunes and the birds outside.

This was just a new first. Glad to have this new life, would not trade it.

Headed to the beach!

Have a great day team, gotta run!

Go London! Woooooooo!
Glad you made it through, Determined! It's a better life, without a doubt.

The amount of time I spent drinking and sleeping it off is almost an exact equivalent to the amount of time I spend on full time school work. That's not even including all of the waking hours I wasted feeling awful.

It's going to be really hot here today, so I'm planning on staying inside. I would venture out for ice cream, but I've already hit all of the local specialty shops this week

Love to you all!

Hi all,

Quick check in to say all is well here and I'm still sober. I Just thought I'd pop in a song in for you Pink....

Optimistic by The Sounds of Blackness.

I loved it when I was young an I have just listened to it for the first time in quite a while which made me smile as I'm sure it will for you.

Take care all

Hey guys

I loved the run yesterday! Thanks for the messages. Very happy I completed it in a good time and raised some charity cash too. I went for a huge lunch then slept and watched tennis most of the afternoon.

Hope everyone is good. It sounds like it. Summer seems to be going OK for everyone with these new found sober muscles.

Rainy Monday in London and I am battling the commute - well riding delays, no drama.

Have a great day all

Pink - that must be a great playlist building up :-)

Happy Monday team!

Monday is still attitude of gratitude Monday, reminding myself of the many awful anxiety filled ones of past. No matter what the day brings, it is all good compare to that!!

Great work London! Glad to see you check in and glad to hear you are doing great ph7!

Let's go kick some today!

Hello!

London, you are such an inspiration! CONGRATULATIONS on the run! You said you were going to do it, trained, collected sponsors, and DID IT !!!!! WOW!

Ph7, good to hear from you.

Choobie, it is head-shaking to think of all the time we spent drinking, recovering from drinking, thinking of our next drink......

Our book club just finished The Astronaut Wives Club. I enjoyed it and found it informative....NASA made sure the wives all acted "just so."

I still have company - July has always been the month I have people here to enjoy the Cape.

I find it so, so hard to believe we are approaching August and our ONE YEAR !

Let's keep on keeping on.

Thanks Ph7, good to see YOU!

London, way to go on your run! What a feeling!

Scooter, the book sounds interesting! Will check it out on amazon later!

Weather's crap here, dark damp and dull. Got the Monday blues too.

Hope you all have had a good day x
