Thanks for that, Dee.
I hope you're settled in your new home.
I watch TV in the evening, that distracts me a bit. I like your Aussie show "Rake", excellent writing, and acting of course, from Richard Roxburgh.
I gave my bird a "shampoo and set" and he's so happy. I couldn't imagine giving him up/leaving him, he keeps me going, he needs me, really no one else really does.

Hi Leshar , i feel your despair and i totally get how drinking will help in a paradoxical way .

In reality we both know that's our AV talking , trying to justify it all.

It's ridiculous as we know after one drink it will be all downhill from there .

I never want to go back to that place ever! I came so close to drinking on a Monday night but alas it would have killed me .

This is our second chance lets not **** it up .

Monday night passed and i am so grateful i didn't drink , i can only imagine my remorse now , I'm free of that , never again .

I don't understand doctors ...he's giving you that knowing your psoriasis will worsen as mine did knowing it's causing liver damage WTF !

We are in their hands . I have 5 weeks off at Xmas so i will try to wean off then .

Good luck , we will be ok . We have made it this far ;-)

Much love xxx

That's not true. I know it's just words on a screen, but all the way over here, I think of all of you, I do.

You need to move to Australia, Leshar! Snoozy and I will keep you busy - then we can go and annoy Dee sometime.

Truly though, I do care as much as I can given the situation. I hate to think of any of you being down or sad....or drinking!

Love and hugs for today, Leshar.xx

Hi everyone,

Snoozy, love your new cat! Animals really are the best medicine. They have such a sweet and innocent way of cheering us up without even trying or knowing they are doing so. I had 2 cats when I was single and lived alone (couldn't have a dog cuz I travelled too much) and they brought me such company. They have since passed but they were in my life for a reason.

Leshar, I really feel for you. Have you thought of getting a second opinion from another Dr? Your current Dr just doesn't seem to be helping you ... at all?!!! Thinking of you.

Thank you all.
Thank you, Croissant for saying that.
I feel so useless and hopeless and a waste of space. I cry every day. I'm obsessed about mistakes/wrong choices I made in the past, I can't seem to get out of this.
I am glad I'm not complicating things by drinking. I'm living in the past, it's all I do lately. If I'd only done this or that, I'd be in a much better place now, and not depressed and inconsolably unhappy. I guess, like Snoozy said, I'm tired of the struggle and no joy in my life, nor hope of such.
I'm sad my siblings aren't more supportive. I feel very child like and immature and don't know how to grow up and look after myself. I'm full of resentments, I want to "escape", booze did that for a while but I really don't want to do that.
I'm sorry I cannot write more hopeful things, but I don't want to disconnect here, I realize that doing so puts me at risk of drinking and I'm dead if I do that, I know it.
Please bear with me, I care about you all and all we've gone through together, I'm sorry I'm not in a better place.

Oh, Snoozy, I forgot, I love the little kitten! What lovely eyes. I'd have a cat if I didn't have the bird.
What are you going to call him? I'm glad you're happy to have him.

Hey everybody,
Sorry I haven't been checking in much.
I've been working this week clearing out my old shop and office and attending unemployment seminars.
I know it's not all that appealing to work cleaning out the place where one used to work.
But, it's some extra $$ on top of the vacation pay they owed me.
So extra/extra before even the severance pay.

So, at work with no computer.
And I'm still sharing with my daughter at night.
Time to get a new Pad so I can check in from time to time without a laptop resting on my legs.
What does everybody else use to search the web?
Any recommends on a touch Pad?

My IPad...is about 18 months old and I use it for everything. I think mine is a iPad 3, but it's got enough. Also, I have other apps installed, so I can actually use it to prepare documents etc, with a portable keyboard.

Most electronic hire places hire them out also, if you wanted to try before you buy.

It took some getting used to, but I'd be lost without it now and don't own a computer anymore.

Mine has books (yes, I love them on my ipad now), music, I can take photos, use email, search the web. I Bluetooth my music to my wireless speakers and use my ipad for music in my house.

Thanks Crois...I'll definitely be getting one but I might save up a little more and get one with more than 16gb capacity I think.

I've had my Ipad for over 2 years . I would never go back to a computer .

It does everything a computer does

It's been a godsend for my early recovery months in bed .

I tried to teach Mum and Dad how to use one yesterday and they didn't like it lol ....they would if they knew how to use it .

I have all my music on here , daggy 70s on tap

All my photos , videos , apps for the kids etc it the BEST thing i have EVER bought . It cost me $350.00 from BigW . It's a 16 and I've never run out of space for anything .

Dee , you would probably need more for your music etc but IPads are the BEST thing since sliced bread !
