its worth it though, bulkhead! being drunk has become so normal for me, that being sober gives me a much better buzz than anything else right now.

Thanks Dee74!

I really appreciate the Recovering Alcoholic's POV. I am open to changing myself in order to have a healthy relationship.

Thanks for your kind insight...

Day 2 for me here! Tough day at the office, but that still won't have me going home to a drink!
Proud to be in the class of October!

Will be alone in the house tonight so really worried. Need to break this habit before it destroys me. Good luck everyone.
hi octoberite. cheese is agood choice-apparently eating protein is a good way to curb sugar cravings

Just awful about the little girl, I misheard the news a while ago and thought they'd found her, not yet it seems, just the abductor I hope she is found alive and well, worse nightmare.

Count me in October. Day 1....I go back to Class of May 2011. I Went about 2 months, flunked out! And then made it here and there for 30 days during this past year. I know I need this kind of support, otherwise, I'll just give up. Those 2 months last year were awesome. I lost a lot of weight and felt great. I cannot for the life of me understand why I gave all of the away. I was so disappointed I failed, that I haven't been back on this website since last July......so, let's do this!.....I need all of the help I can get, otherwise, this will eventually kill me. Thanks!

HI Octosoberettes! Gigabit I liked that quote. Very cool.

Day 4 sober here and I FINALLY slept last night. Boy did that feel good. In some ways I think my recent relapse after 100 days was a good learning experience. It's certainly not as overwhelming this time around and I know I can do it. I'm not scrambling to fill my time quite as much this time around because I already figured out how to deal with the boredom last time. Mostly you just suck it up and read lol. Or join things. I found myself joining lots of crazy things last time around. Did I mention I'm running for City Council? Cough. Yeah I know crazy but when you are sober you will do wild things you never imagined before.

I think it was physically harder this time with the withdrawal though. Last time I didn't have these issues with sleep. Anyway I'm rambling now. I hope you are all having a fantastic sober day!

Using politics to shore up your spare time? Brilliant! Though having to deal with political problems this early would certainly tempt me to drink That's just me though.
