I will be joining the Nov class as think i need the support of new members starting a new life of non drinking, i will keep popping in to say hello, as you guys have gave me support here and will never forget that

Nothing wrong with switching groups. I too think it's a good idea to put yourself in new surroundings. I spend a lot of time reading the Newcomers threads so that I don't lose sight of where I was when I started out.

Sweet pleased to hear from you. I was walking with my wife last night. I told here that I really want to continue with sobriety, it is giving me so many benefits. The amazing thing is I am still noticing little but definite changes. I feel I can now start getting my life together. Six months ago my view of life was completely different.

Well Friday was hard, and Saturday nearly over i have only Sunday to do and 1 day at a time.
Day 3 tomorrow and on the mend, i just have to keep posting here, its like some kind of bond with the class, and AA and playing the games on here have helped, love the old 80s styles games lol. All have a safe weekend

Evening guys and gals,
Things are going well. I've been working hard and a lot. I'm feeling pretty good about things but think I may be coming down with a cold. Boo.
My Christmas Party for work was last night - not a problem - had a couple of diet cokes and a Perrier. It was funny, a couple of people asked me how I was feeling this morning - I guess they assumed that my diet cokes were whiskey and cokes!
A few more parties to go this holiday season but I'm really not worried too much. I'm feeling quite strong in that regard.
There was a moment in the car on the way home tonight when the old "reward for a hard week's work" argument popped into my head. My AV loves that one!
Santa Claus parade tomorrow in Toronto. We'll be taking the kids down to see Santa.

TP a friend of mine was no so lucky at a recent celebration and now has a broken ankle. I was not there but it does not sound pretty. They were drinking from late afternoon, and he was way gone and fell over on flat ground in the dark.
I was thinking "there goes the weekend" just about the hangover he must have had, let alone the other limitations with the ankle for the summer.

Just checking in to say i didnt drink the weekend, well i did in the way of water, tea and pepsi lol, so tomorrow is day 4 and not 100% but much better, i need to read up on this site, but find it hard as hit 4 meeting in 3 days and i now have numbers to call people if i feel the need to drink, which i have never had before. i wish you all a safe week. Good night all x
