Just had young dog-sitter over to show her the feeding/walking routine. She's so sweet and smart I'm not worried about my dogs in her care. And I'm going to pay her a bit extra to trim their nails.

Alien kitty indeed! If you took it without the flash would it be too dark? If you turned on every light in the room would it be enough light? My only animal whose eyes don't reflect eerily is blind boy cause the cataracts don't let the light thru to the retina. So his eyes can't reflect light.
I can see her getting bigger in the pix compared to the first ones you posted.

Yeah...not enough light in the house for me to try without flash.
And red-eye remover programs don't do such a hot job...I can fix it myself...but it takes way to long...unless someone knows of an easy way to do it in GIMP.

I'm on the "do not call" list for telemarketers and I'm just put dk on the "do not answer" list for rude demanding kids. 
She's no longer 'asking' for rides, she's 'demanding' rides and b!tching bitterly the whole way there so NO MORE RIDES!! No more answering her calls. I'm sick of this.
Just smoked my last cigarette and have no money for more so guess this is my quit day... I'm sure I'll be whining and b!tching all day....

I think Bam has met her match in Isis....the cat seems to know she's the boss. she is a gorgeous girl with catitude!
I have much on the agenda today...picking up my mother, taking her to church for a christening, then luncheon with the family at this nice restaurant, then bring her back to nursing home....I don't mind taking her and keeping her happy, but on the other hand it is very stressful, because I don't get to relax....I have to stay strong in my resolve not to drink when I get back home, it is not a reward.

Bam, kitty is claiming her property...everything she can see or touch is hers!!! That's a Queeny trick!
She's adorable, and the attitude just adds personality. My Toby never liked getting his picture taken and would often grimace at me when I tried. Or turn his back and I would get a picture of cat butt.
It's another lovely day here today...I think I appreciate them more now that I am working a few days, lol. I am going to let Bubba take me out for brunch because I am hungry and just not in the mood to cook.
Least, hang in there girl, the first few days are the hardest and just have something else to do every time you think about you-know-what.

Had dinner with mom and brother today, like every Sunday, and got into an argument with her over the paltry tip she left. She must think she's living back in the Great Depression as she's VERY stingy with her money, and she has enough of it to not have to be so tight with it...
While this was going on I had the fleeting urge to just get numb and forget all about it... which of course I know better than to do! But it was scary cause it's the first time in months I've even thought of drinking as a response to a stressful situation.
I find myself increasingly irritated with her (increasing) senility, tho I know she can't help it. It's so frustrating to watch her reject my/our attempts to 'help' her, and reject them with anger on her part, as if we were trying to hurt, not help her.
Good grief, I hope if I ever get that bad that someone shoots me and doesn't let me suffer (or make my family suffer) from it...

Well, yesterday my feline raccoon decided I shouldn't have a camera and knocked it on the floor. Now the batter cover won't close properly, and the batteries won't take their position. But it still does work, with some manipulation.
Here he is being a raccoon. He did try to climb the berry tree a couple of times after being taunted by a talkative squirrel, and now he is very tired.
