Oh, Ann - Martha Reeves - I hate to admit it, but I remember that performance. I was in __th grade. I not only watched American Bandstand, but went there a few times! I grew up near Wilmington, Delaware & it was only a 45-minute drive up to Philly. Only the regulars were allowed on camera, but we had fun being in the audience.

Thanks, Dee!

I think the heat fried my thanks key, along with quote...let's see if reply works.

Fandy, hope the patients find the pig 'n bacon message effective, if not just cute. My derm will enjoy it when I give him a copy next week.

I did water my gardens and move the sprinkler around the front and back yard.

Any makeup I had on from meetings earlier quickly melted off my face.

How ironic tho...I paid my plow bill for the 2009/2010 snow season today. The owner of the company is less than slow with invoicing...

....just found the timing to be amusing with all this heat.

I showed Raven a pic of a new do that would cool him off. He declined.

Can You Hear Me Now????

I may be humble, but I'm spry...

nice save on the kindergarten comeback, Hev!

I think we should have a reunion of Martha & the Vandellas' Heatwave when we're whining about the snow and cold in January.

Whadya think, Ann? Worth resurrecting then as a whiner reminder?

Plumber guy is a whine all by himself. He came back to fix the leak that happened after he fixed the other leak...and now he's coming back Friday morning to start over again.

Thanks for askin'

I think I have mentioned about a zillion times, the gentle breeze that never stops here? It stopped. It is dead still out there, very hot, and let me say it first...this is heading for tornado weather, mark my words. I hope I am wrong, but it's gone on too long and next thing you know the tornado clouds will move in. Where DID I put my ruby slippers?

Carry on

You're so right, cause I'll be b!tching up a (snow)storm over the bad roads and the cold and the big gas bills! Always something to whine about, no matter what the season.

What it is, actually, is that I hate extremes! TOO hot or TOO cold bothers me. If it could be like springtime all the time I'd be happy as a lark... and b!tching about the tree sap all over my car... or the constant rain... or...... something! A good whiner can always find a whine!

I am freshly whined out....it's still hot and sticky and I am stressing about my Mountain King Cypress (the pretty yellow hairy looking type), having some dead branches...if it dies i'll be heartbroken....i've had him since 2007. we haven't had rain for almost a month....i watered for over 45 mins. when I got home.
