No whines so far today except that it's HOT!! Low 90s and no breeze at all... We've stayed inside all day except for necessary trips out. The dogs don't hang around outside these days, they do their business and run right back inside. Drinking gallons of koolaid and juice and apple cider. No appetite except for watermelon - mmmmm!

and will need a week in the hospital to recoup

I combed another flea off Isis. That makes 3. I'm just waiting for the masses to arive, though. Hopefully I can get some frontline on her before that happens.
I'm going to get some of that carpet powder this weekend...and I'm going to do more laundry...and I'm going to vaccum everywhere...and I'm going to give the poor thing another dish soap bath.

My these have been some fine quality whines lately...fleas, absconded underwear, surgery and the heat wave...it makes this Whiner proud just to belong here *grabs a tissue*
It is raining, rained all night...and the heatwave has broken I think. Hallelujah!!!! I really try not to whine about weather that isn't snow, but this was getting to me.
I'm off work now until next Tuesday...seems she wants me 3 days next week, lol, but knows that's my limit. I don't want a "job" I just want to dabble part time.
I have a "pending" whine....Plumber Guy returns this morning to replace the new faucets he installed to fix the leak under my sink and thus causing a faucet leak into my sink.
He says he won't let me pay him until I am happy...well, good for PG, he got that right
If Queeny ain't happy, ain't nobody happy.
I'm singing in the rain, Whiners, hope it heads east and cools you all too.

Bam, how about a flea collar after the bath? I would use that until she is big enough for the frontline...what did the vet say?
I find a flea or 2 on Sammy when I bathe him, but they seem to be just dead bodies.
I don't have many whines this AM....I scrubbed the stove to death last night and it looks fairly good, very clean, so i will not mess it up by cooking on it.
my brain seems to be functioning properly, I feel rational and my mood is good.
I'm getting a lot of exercise heat or not....between cleaning and the dog

No whines yet. Getting a bit of much needed rain. Will be good if it keeps raining all day. Ldb has an appt this afternoon. His eyes look a lot better than yesterday but still want the vet to see him.
Bam, I put an herbal flea collar on my outside cats. It doesn't kill fleas (has no toxic chemicals) but repels them so they don't stay on the cat.
A lot cooler this morning! Yay!

Well, the cat perfected the destruction he'd started on a screen as a kitten 2 summers ago. I guess the consolation I should see in this is that he sticks his whole body out onto the verandah and comes back in at will. And opts to just sit and look from inside as well.
It's taking a while for this rain to have a cooling effect for me. It's not the Florida summer kind (brief and violent rain followed by baking in it), but it's taking time.
In all honesty, I'm not really whining yet. So I guess I am fudging just to make it look like we are meeting our targets.

Toronto (I almost typed in Toto)...you should be able to take your screen to a building supply and have it restrung for minimal cost.
It cost me about $17.00 to fix when Fandy pushed his fat head out and tore it completely in his haste to get into a fight with Toye (the Norweigen Forest Cat) who promptly kicked his butt.

I don't know if the WA police issue citations for insufficient whining or not... if I were you I'd try to come up with at least a little whine...

We're finally getting the much needed rain we were promised... 
of course that means I'll get soaked going to the vet...
