Grateful that my brain's reward system has recovered. I can now feel joy and motivation again. It took ten and a half month. Pretty good reason to not mess it up again.
Grateful for shelter
Grateful for being able to hike another weekend
Best wishes for all of you!

Good morning lovely Grat chums - nice that it's Saturday. And just a touch on the sunny side here right now, with no rain. I was casting my mind back to the 22nd June this year which was also a Saturday and the day I finally called it a day with my 'friend' with the often exotic names: Chablis, Chardonnay, Pinot etc etc. Unmissed (most of the time) and and definitely unwanted. Such a relief.

New Chapter - Wow. A jumping session with your horse sounds amazing. I cannot imagine that. And well done on getting rid of an unwanted pound. I do know about that!

I liked your poem, Courage!

Hev - new glasses, cost of. I know. Totally staggering in £ or dollars.

Austerities - thankful and very glad for you that you can feel joy and motivation again. Ten and a half months is a long time. Kudos to you for sticking with it. Well deserved outcome.

Fearless - I can't spell Renee Z's name either hence referring to her as RZ. For the avoidance of doubt I wasn't saying that Rusty Zipper was totally impressive as Judy!! Although doubtless that would be the case...

Grateful I did actually go swimming yesterday, rather than just threatening to. Very boring, especially if you're shall we say on the slow side like me, but I still always feel I've achieved something afterwards.
Grateful my family checked in via Faceapp video and that all is well with them and that my granddaughter is thriving.
Thankful for a decent night's sleep.
Grateful as always to start my day with you all.

Grateful to hear from someone who was a friend here doesn't come here anymore, but she says she is doing really well, which I am glad to hear. I always miss my friends who leave, but people have to follow their own path in their own way.
Grateful for a pretty easy day. I ended up not going to my ARF shift yesterday because I'm still not feeling well. Esp at a place like that. I don't want to spread it around.
Rusty, glad you're cleaning up the drum kit. Prayers and peace to you, my dear one
Grateful Luke is here by my side.
Grateful for all of you so very much and have a wonderful Sat. ♥♥♥

Good to see you citrus and WO
Lol rose about RZ.
Glad you are still in touch with your friend, Aly

Grateful to finally check in. Missed last night and was busy this morning. Sonny boy had back to back karate classes. I am so proud of him for training so hard. He’s testing for his final belt in Dec
Grateful to have had such good conversation and advice from two colleagues yesterday and feel inspired
Grateful to not feel shame discussing life experiences, to feel comfortable in my own skin, to be self confident
Grateful for choices (and have control over my choices)
Grateful I sometimes find myself starting a sentence with “I’m grateful for...”. This Gratitude practice is seeping into my soul. Grateful to be a grat geek
Grateful for all of you!

Fearless, I find myself starting sentences with, I'm grateful for... too. Yes, this gratitude thing is good and seeping into my soul too. I wish I had your way with words, my dear friend.

Just lost my post. Grr. Not grateful for that but here I go again.

FBL, ditto.

Daisy, you sounded impressively well organised yesterday. I shall follow your example today and make a chilli. It's the weather for it.

Citrus, so glad your plan is working for you this time. I've lost count of the number of non-drinking plans I've made and started that have then gone awry. They are numberless. . So I'm beyond grateful that this one is working. Please stick with us. You too Waterox.

Rusty, follow the yellow brick road!

Courage, also grateful to get a warning. I realised last night, when a glass of wine looked at me very enticingly, that I have finally got it into my head that it's the first glass of wine that will rob me of everything I've achieved. Sounds simple and obvious but I genuinely don't think I actually took that on board before as an irrefutable fact. Now I do.

Aly, really hope next week sees you better. Big hugs to Luke (I expect you've given him those already!).

Fearless and Aly, you're right about the gratitude thoughts. I would never have thought I'd say that since I'm not exactly a Pollyanna in my approach to life. I think there's something about the discipline of posting here, and therefore having to actively think about some positive personal aspects of life, that begins to permeate everything.

Least, yay for the good walking weather. So nice here yesterday.

Grateful for a convivial evening with friends, to have had good food and no wine despite a nano second of temptation and to have driven them home afterwards.
Grateful for a great walk in almost perfect autumn weather if you ignore the occasional huge outbursts of rain. Into every life etc.....
Grateful the next series of Succession is now availabe on Amazon Prime at a rather high price but I enjoyed the first series so much I shall download anyway.
Grateful repetively and everyday for my decision to stop drinking alcohol. Life changing.

Perfect walking weather here again. Hope those of you in hotter climes are not suffering too much from the heat.
