Rusty take good care of yourself my darling one.♥
Grateful to feeling quite a bit better, still a bit off my game. I am hoping I will be able to do my shift ARF tomorrow afternoon. I think I'm going to try. I HAVE to vacuum today. I've put it off and somethings just need to get done!
Grateful for a lovely day. It warmed up a bit last night.
Grateful for all of you the most. Thank you for mentioning me. xxxooo

Oh, grateful for 20 months sober today. Almost 2 years. I'm so, so glad/grateful I found SR and all of you to help me keep on. ♥♥♥

Not really almost 2 years, so I have to keep it ODAAT and boy that 20 months didn't come easily, but it does get easier to stay away from using when it is no longer your go to or norm and all the tools we acquire along the way to keep ourselves sober.

Love and peace to you all.

Aly - I'm happy to know you're feeling a little better. Congrats on your 20 sober months!!
Pouncer - It's so difficult to deal with those toxic family members - hard to avoid them the way we can others in our life. I have 2 of them & they're a real challenge.
Fearless - Your dad is fortunate to have your empathy & compassion. I'm sorry for his struggles.
Numblady - My dad used catawampus regularly, though he pronounced it 'cattywampus'. It must've been around a long time!
Rose - I've read that Renee Zellweger does a fabulous job of portraying Judy. Hope you enjoy.
I so wish I'd never had a drink, like your friend.
NC - A horse - I'm envious - that must be so lovely.
Grateful as always for everyone here.
Grateful to stand up for myself in an awkward situation.
Grateful for the bagels MrH just brought home - though I have no business eating them.
Grateful for the ability to chase the demons away.
Have a great Thursday.

Grateful Aly is feeling some better.

I didn't check in this morning cause I didn't feel too well when I woke up and didn't feel very grateful, altho I could be grateful that I'm alive so I can feel - good and bad.

Hev, the bagels sound good. Did he bring cream cheese too? I was first introduced to bagels when I was 19 and living in NYC. I had a bagel with cream cheese and lox and loved it. I haven't had lox on bagels since I moved back home to Ohio and don't remember what it tastes like.

Grateful for New Chapter's big virtual hug. It's true this thread is a sanity valve.
Rusty - sorry it was rough going for you last night. Hope this morning brings a better day/night.
Fearless - tending to the sleep needs/patterns of our offspring can be such in a challenge. I see it happening now with my son, dil and granddaughter who of course loves to resist the idea of bed. My least favourite phase, however, was probably the one where we were just getting in to bed as my son was just going out to meet his friends. No better scenario for those whose Olympic sport of choice is worrying!
Numblady - get home safely. I can't believe you've got to face temperatures in the 90s again this weekend. Too much.
Aly - big, big hooray for your many months of sobriety. Two years here you come. So well done. And I know what you mean but no one actually has to vacuum clean....if you need a day of rest, make yourself take one.
Pouncer - hope you get some respite from the toxic members of your family. That's a hard one.
Least - I'm grateful you're alive!

Grateful to have seen a really absorbing film yesterday. I wasn't particularly a fan of Judy Garland but if half of what this film portrayed is true, in terms of her childhood experiences as a movie star, her later extreme behaviour was predictable. Another one with nothing to thank alcohol for. Agree with what Hev heard that RZ was amazing in the part. Unrecognisable as RZ and completely recognisable as Judy.
Thankful to have done a number of boring admin things that have been staring at me for sometime now.
Grateful my friend is driving us to a large supermarket today thus saving me from doing an online delivery with all that implies in terms of strangely unwanted and unpredictable buys.
Thankful I've committed to going swimming this morning. Boring but worth doing (I suppose). The spellcheck changed 'doing' just to 'dozing'. That's more like it!

Hope everyone has a good Friday and weekend. Funny how Friday remains a day when I automatically heave a sigh of relief even though I'm no longer employed,

Grateful for an amazing jumping session with my superstar horse last night. It helped me to completely forget about the stresses of work, school etc.
Grateful to have been productive this week so that I can take today out of the office to work on an essay for school.
Grateful to have lost another pound.
Grateful to be sober.
Grateful for all of you wonderful, kind, supportive Grats!!

Grateful FBL has another day sober.
Grateful NL is flying home to family today.
Grateful RZ got through the rough night and hope that last night was better.
Grateful Fearless has a chance to catch up on some admin and has some yummy banana nut muffins/cupcakes left to enjoy!
Grateful Pouncer has some time away from toxic family members - that must be very challenging.
Grateful Aly has 20 months - way to go! Such an achievement.
Grateful Hev was able to stand up for herself and got to enjoy some bagels. Yes, I feel so grateful every day for my wonderful, silly horse. He brings me such joy, even though he can be grumpy sometimes!
Grateful Least came to post and found that there is always something for which to be grateful.
Grateful Courage is empowered in sobriety to make positive changes.
Grateful Mags' cats are in from the rain.
Grateful Austerities is alive and well and thankful.
Grateful for Rose's reciprocated virtual hug and that you enjoyed the Judy film. Sounds like a great watch. Enjoy swimming!

Happy Friday, all of you beautiful Grats!

Aly, a million zillion congratulations on 20 months sober, kudos to you my lovely one.

I'm in a bit of a hurry today, I've read all of your wonderful posts but just don't have time to reply to them right now, but that doesn't mean I'm not thinking about you. xx

Grateful for a sober Friday.

Grateful my mum has gone on a day trip with her friend.
Grateful to watch my g.son's class assembly, it was funny.

Grateful to find time to post.
Grateful you are all here.
Grateful for each and every one of you. xx
