Flex those chemo muscles, Rusty, Godspeed that it works it's magic on you. I am praying for you and one is that you don't feel too badly. ♥
Numblady, glad you got something out of the grief group. It really helps to be around like minded people at certain times in your life.
I want to send everyone love by name, but I just can't. Please know I think of all of you and wish you all the best.
Grateful to be sober, Grateful to to to my ARF thrift store shift. I usu like my other shift better, but this is a great cause.
Grateful ARF raised $115,000 at their fundraiser Saturday. It costs SOOO much money to run that place and give vet care to the animals and the needy, as well as food, whatever they need. I hope my shift goes well!
Have a great day my lovely Grat Packers!

Auster, glad you got through that moment!
Rose, I slept better too last night. This means I probably won’t tonight since it seems to happen every other night. Re the pillows, I also bought some new cases - something like microfiber (?). Supposedly, I will have improved hair and skin now. Lol. Yes, I bought into this
RZ, thinking of you today and that things went well
Numblady, so glad you could go to grief group. I understand completely about this being a test to sobriety. Btw, I speak Minecraft language too (at least a little bit)
Aly, that’s a great amount of money to raise!

Grateful for afternoon tea with SR since I missed the morning. But it’s morning somewhere
Grateful I am adjusting to Mr F working from home occasionally. Grateful he is able and interested to take more of a part in school mornings and drop off or pick up. Grateful he asked me on a lunch date and this might become a new tradition
Grateful to discuss some uncomfortable things and feel a huge relief
Grateful to get the Halloween costumes ordered
Grateful to make progress on the rock painting party planning and to receive lots of interest
Grateful for each of you

Grateful for waking up hangover free, magnificent feeling.
Grateful for my morning coffee

(((RZ)))
Aly you are so sweet to always make so many individual responses. You shouldn’t feel bad if you can’t do it all the time! Glad the fundraiser was such a success.
Mags, ain’t that the truth! Travel is generally a very annoying way to get somewhere.

Grateful our fundraiser for my brother was so successful that we started a foundation. It’s not a huge amount but it will be enough to periodically give out money to different orgs.
Grateful I have experience in getting 501c3 paperwork done. Now if only I could find the time!
Grateful for coffee. Had a Turkish coffee yesterday. Weird! Gritty!
Grateful that I was asked to mentor another person at work and he seems thankful for it. I have a lot of self-doubt but am trying to have confidence that I do have something to offer.
Grateful for the smile that comes over my face each morning when I go to refresh this page.
Grateful my son made it home safely last night. He takes a late activity bus on Wednesdays and decided he just didn’t want to have his phone on for the trip home. The knucklehead!
Grateful for all of you.

That is so great to hear about the no issues RZ!
Aly, you are very special
Numblady, that is so wonderful you are giving back in this way! You are amazing and I’m sure you offer so much more than you realize. Glad your son got home safe

Grateful I’m a morning person. Grateful that being tired is not from a hangover. Nope, just hormones I guess. Grateful to look forward to a better night sleep tonight
Grateful to remember a time past how it was in the mornings. Several years ago, I’d wake up throughout the night, then a final time with a screaming toddler with severe sensory and rage tantrum problems, a bad hangover, taking my first drink in my little closet bar by 9 am sometimes then somehow convincing myself that I was a “functional” alcoholic. I just cried a little remembering that. Sometimes it’s good to remember, or at least not forget
Grateful to be fully present and aware and ready to tackle everything today has to offer with positive energy
Grateful for my treadmill
Grateful for meditation and deep breathing
Grateful for each of you and our sober journey

I hope your chemo is being kind to you Rusty, been thinking about you.

Fearless my gson has had a couple of burn outs with his karate too but he seems to have found his mojo again at the min and he had a good lesson last night, fingers crossed. I don't want to be like a pushy mum ( nan in my case) but it would be such a pity if he gave up now. I know exactly where you are coming from.
Ha ha, he started to play the violin on Tuesday and brought one home to practise on, it sounds like a cat screeching. Bring back the guitar, all is forgiven.

Grateful to be sober today, and every day.
Grateful not be feeling sick and tired, guilty and ashamed.
Grateful to listen to the readers in school this morning.
Grateful that though it is very cold ( 5C), it isn't raining today ( yet).
Grateful for my fire, my warm clothes and for having food in my cupboards.
Grateful for a phone call from my daughter.
Grateful for a phone call from my friend.
Grateful the rescue steroids are working for Mags and she can breathe easier.
Grateful Austerities made it through a close call.
Grateful Numblady found support and empathy at her support group.
Grateful Numblady's fund raiser was a success, excellent news!
Grateful to have time to post today.
Grateful to each and every one of you. xxx

Hi All,

I noticed that my posts lately have been a little on the negative side, complaining about stress etc., so I thought I’d pop over here to Gratitude and try to adjust my mindset.

Today I am grateful for SR and all of the wonderful folks who share their stories, guidance and empathy.
I am grateful for my loving husband.
I am grateful for my health, my home and my family.
I am grateful for my horse.
I am grateful for a successful business.
I am grateful for the opportunity to be completing my Masters.
I am grateful for setbacks as they provide the opportunity to learn and grow and improve, one day at a time.

Love and positivity to you all.

Grateful that my new health insurance gives me a quarterly allowance for OTC products. I ordered a wrist cuff BP monitor and it came today. I tried it out and it worked perfectly.

Grateful that Rusty's chemo is going well.

Hello to all the wonderful folks on here - I hope everyone has a fantastic day!

Today I am grateful for:

This gratitude thread and all of the positivity and kindness each of you show and share here. It has really helped to lift my spirits and shift the self-pity party I’ve been indulging over the past week.

Making time to get my eyebrows done at the beautician’s before work today.

That my mom is coming to visit this evening and we are going to the cinema together to watch the new Jennifer Lopez movie.

My health and my sobriety.

That I did not allow my binge eating extend into another day, nor did I try and compensate with restricting. Taking this as progress.

Have a beautiful day everyone!

So happy to see NC (my classmate!) here.
RZ, glad it is going as well as can be expected.
Fearless, aww. I can see how that memory would conjure up tears. I’ve so been there. I remember throwing up one time in the middle of the night, which was very rare, and my daughter who was probably under one woke up and was just standing there by the toilet. I can’t quite remember the timing and why she was in our room but I felt so stupid and guilty. That’s kind of a separate thing from the isolation and loneliness of facing tough challenges as a parent, but I guess also got me to the same place of shame as drinking to drown my feelings of failure and sadness while I struggled as a mom.

Grateful it was bread pudding day at our cafeteria yesterday!
Grateful to have some time before anyone is awake to post.
Grateful there is supposedly a “cold front” (which for us means that the highs are only in the 80s for a few days) coming.
Grateful for stand-up comedians. My husband keeps sending me Tom Papa clips, and this weekend I’m hoping to watch a couple of Dave Chappelle shows on Netflix.
Grateful that somehow both our kids have sleepovers. Both nights of the weekend. I feel like I am committing some kind of parental sin but I’m still going for it!
Grateful to be here.
Grateful for a day to be of service.
