Part 3 - Horselover's 10 nightly gratitude items.
Well hopes have dipped a bit. Got an email yesterday saying they were having a problem with husband's salary request. Funny thing is when it was spoken about with HR guy a week ago today he said there was no set salary for that position and he thought some agreement could be reached. This other guy says husband is out of the ball park with it. Husband emailed back his bottomline after trying to call and talk with him. He got their voicemail and decided to email. We heard nothing back today. We go through the weekend and who knows how long next week without knowing. They did say he was still the best candidate for the job, but the salary was a sticking point. Bah!! I'm so tired of this guys. I wouldn't have posted about this had it not been such a sure thing, but I guess there is no sure thing in life.
Grateful for not crying at the moment.
Grateful for trying to find some gratitude.
Grateful for not even thinking of getting trashed because I KNOW that doesn't work for me anymore.
Grateful for my son and husband.
Grateful for my dogs and cat.
Grateful for SR.
That's it for me folks.

Do ya think this is a ploy to get him to reduce his bottom line?
Like you said a few days ago, it's not over til it's over and you never know with this job stuff. Stay strong and know that if it's right for you, it'll come to you - at least, that's what I think. It's hard to keep your spirits up when this has happened before ... but he is a catch, and they know it, or he wouldn't be their top candidate.
Still sending out the BEST VIBES for you guys!

I had the same thought, see how cheap they can get him....???
i recently acquired a new hire in my office....a pc applications specialist...very smart guy. when i was filling out official form (that had 3 different salaries on it) , i was told to leave it blank, that HR does the negotiating...i recommended one salary, they gave him the lowest one....cutting his yearly by 7K.
still keeping the good vibes going....and hope it all works out for the best....
do not cry...eat ice cream and popcorn with real butter....watch movies, read trashy magazines, color your hair, give yourself a facial, apply moisturizer to your knees and elbows.
tonight i am just grateful it is Friday and I can relax....no 10 grats tonight, maybe later.

Thanks you guys. Love you all so much and you made me cry. Its easy this time of month. I am one woman that will celebrate menopause when it happens for reasons RZ doesn't want to hear or know about. Will keep the chin up and I L-O-V-E the buttered popcorn idea Fandy. Had ice cream last night. Can't keep doing this though.
Glad to hear it RZ! xxx
Grateful this Sunday night for -
1. A great weekend!!!
2. Good time on Saturday morning watching son's tryouts for baseball this year. He has practice on Wednesday and Thursday nights.
3. A G-R-E-A-T time at the RV show today. It was so much fun and someday I hope to own one. It would be so great!!!
4. A nice lunch out today. Vegetarian burrito with green chili. It was delicious!!!!
5. Bad mood changing to a grateful mood. Needed that to happen.
6. Getting spelling work done and being all ready for tomorrow.
7. Making a decision to drop Scout's and do it as a family until we move and baseball season is over. We had a family meeting and decided it had to go. We will accomplish all the stuff that needs to be accomplished to get him into the next level and after we move OR after the baseball season is over he can resume. I hate over-scheduling kids.
8. Being sober and happy and at peace with the world. Knowing that this moment and at this time I am exactly where i need to be.
9. Faith in God and his angels and how they keep me going and lift me when I need to be lifted.
10. My husband, son, pets and my SR family.

good call on the overscheduled kids...it can make them too stressed to enjoy it.
grateful for a good weekend too....busy and organized....and my first choice of bathroom tile is on order!
grateful to know I have at least 3 more weeks to remove the junk to be sold at the garage sale and pack up the bathroom stuff before construction starts...probably just before Easter....a little later than I first thought, but it is not a big deal.
grateful to have more time to plan stuff
grateful we are one day closer to warm weather.
glad that hydro- has a puppy for the evening....
the famous Rule #62 and #32...of course!
grateful that RZ sets a wonderful example for the rest of us!
grateful that I am not a fool!
back tomorrow for more detailed gratting....i am tired now.

monday grats:
grateful for a fairly good day for me, despite the craptastic cold snap....20's every night and morning.
grateful we are one day closer to April..I am getting tired of eating hot soup (and wanting to dip my cold feet in it instead)
grateful for hot lemon tea and a leftover steak that can be made into a hot sandwich
grateful for having a fairly quiet week to catch up at work
grateful for Rules 62 and 32....
grateful for keeping a positve attitude and appreciating (rule 32) each sober day.
grateful that i prefer myself sober and know i can stay that way...some days are easier than others, but drinking doesn't make it better for me to deal.
grateful for physical health
grateful for being able to sleep like a normal person every night
grateful for feeling not being numb.
see everyone in the morning for coffee and grats.

All out of patience I am afraid. We've heard nothing yet. Husband left a voice mail for both HR guy and IT director. Just asked if they had made a decision yet and to please call him. Nothing back yet and that was about an hour ago. Note to self - If ever in a hiring position please remember the person on the other end and what they are going through. Ugh!!
Ugh is right. That is just plain rude and thoughtless. If they do end up offering him the job, what a way to get off on the wrong foot! (Though I know husband wouldn't hold a grudge ... still!)
I'm sorry, HL - you guys did everything right and you deserve better!

I go with this, Fands - a better way to look at it than my exasperated response!
