you are too funny!

Actually, he did have an embarrassing name. It was spelt uniquely but was pronounced "Honeypoo." My daughter named him Mr. Kitty and I stayed with it.

He was first rescued from a hoarder house, then was adopted from animal control, where he was microchipped. That lady left him outside and didn't want him back. We think because he doesn't like other cats and she adopted 2. He then wandered to a volunteer of a cat rescue's house. (Smart kitty) She took him to the rescue/shelter. The founder of the rescue, an amazing lady, had him at her house. She loved him and wanted him but didn't trust him around other cats. After I visited the shelter, she called me and asked me to come see him where I fell in love. He was nothing like what I wanted, lol. I wanted an orange or grey tabby. But as they say, he picked me and stole my heart. He is so funny and entertaining. Anything that I am doing, he is right there being a pain, lol. When I first got him, he was hiding my things under my bed. He took over the day I took him home. He loves my expensive bras but leaves the inexpensive ones alone, lol. I wake up in the morning and my bedroom is filled with his toys and my things. Apparently, he has a lot of fun while I am sleeping. I could go on and on....lol

I am grateful for my new bird book that shows me good birding areas to hit soon. Fall migration will bring hundreds of species through here.

Thank You God for birds.

LMN, Mr. Kitty sounds like a sweetie.

PJ, your survival and how you have overcome horrendous obstacles and grown into the wonderful, artistic, recovery in motion person you are today , makes me very very grateful to call you my friend.

Thank you God, for PJ and all the grateful friends here.

What a relief to not have to drink "that" stuff. UGH. Prayers for you for strength and continued improving health, friend.

Grateful for good medical people who keep me able to embrace each day and enjoy the beauty it brings. And for friends who cheer me on when I need it.

Grateful that the past is behind us and what lies ahead is full of possibilities. We get to keep walking and leave the past in the shadows.

PJ, well done on overcoming your obstacles. Celebrate because you deserve it.

"Gratitude turns what we have into enough, and more.

It turns denial into acceptance, chaos into order, confusion into

clarity...it makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow." Melody Beattie

Today, I am grateful for being an independent, strong woman . I am so grateful that I do not have to depend on anyone ( a man, in my case) for money or even validation. I remember feeling so trapped while in my marriage. I am so thankful I climbed out, stood on my own 2 feet and made it to where I am today.

Grateful for life. I have a long path ahead- in some ways more difficult than before- because with healing comes greater awareness.
Grateful to find some acceptance with a hellish past, for SR,coffee and chocolate.

Grateful for the inspiration I find on this thread, through the courage of others who have risen above great challenges and who, today, shine from the journey.

Also, grateful for a lovely cool September morning and the call of nature to come see the birds migrating through....another example of a long journey, well prepared for and inspiring.
