Mags, doesn't sound like MIL's friend is very supportive. I know that my mom's mental state plays all sorts of games with her though.

PJ, interesting piece. I could see how the alignment of 2s could be interpreted as having some significance.

Happy groundhog day! The national weather service had a bulletin this morning as to the accuracy of Punxsutawney Phil. The last 10 years have apparently seen an accuracy rating of 40%. Just badmouthing the competition I think. I would expect their accuracy ratio to be no better.

Magnificent painting dearest PJ s
And yes, it will learn them.....of course.....because you are doing something about stuff!

I read your post and I see your dilemma....that subject sounds like it may be very physically taxing and a lot of work. Is homework included in allowed study time on disability pension? I did not know that it does sound like it might be wise to defer this subject and take on a half-day subject. s

Beautiful painting, pj. I'd love to have a print of that on my wall. you use such bold colors. hope things get sorted out soon, concerning hours and such. I wish I was weeding my garden/strip of earth under my window.

least, that is surely puzzling about your rent checks. I am wondering why the landlord didn't mention this before now? is he still trying to sell the house?

city boy, I love to fish. mostly with artificial lures, and for bass, especially in farm ponds .
Alpine, you surely must be coordinated, to be able to fly fish. I have tried it, but cannot manage it . fishing streams is exciting though.

Kim, I am glad all worked out so well for your daughter and grandbaby girl. to have you there, through some major life adjustments was priceless for them .

Suze, I hope landlady gets that waterheater replaced pronto! it can cause some flooding, if the bottom rots out. seems that is common with old waterheaters. have had it happen . ugh

Mags, I am sorry that your mil is having such sadness. its cruel, I think, to know that you are losing your mental capabilities. how sad that a 'friend' could be so insensitive. I hope today is a better day.

PJ, I love the color combination in your painting

Suze, How will you take a 'bible bath on the patio with the nation" without hot water?! LOL

CB, Your FL weather sounds pretty enticing to those of us bracing for winter storms! I got a code red alert for Cinti, apparently snow and ice to hit!

Alpine, So happy you're feeling better.

Mags, The situation with your MIL is draining and sad, it just is Hopefully today will be a better day for your MIL and consequently for you and Mr. Mags. Please tell DB I often think of her and her dear friend Mandy.

Chic, Isn't Spring grand, when we can return to weeding ?! I put cutting of coleus in a jar of water before I left for NJ, hopefully Mr. P has kept the water from evaporating.

Sigh, Mama tears this morning as we dropped off Eleanor. I warned her it's usually the 2 or 3rd day, when the wee ones become wise to the way........"Oh, so you are planning on leaving me here?!". It'll be another half day, so not too long.

We were all in bed by 7 pm last night, utterly exhausted. I couldn't stop my mind from worrying about Eleanor and her Mama after I fly home on Sunday. I really think something is going to give long term....they'll move home or we'll move out here. LMP #1 told me she wants me to go home and attend to my dr appointments and take care of myself.....she said she won't know if she can handle it all on her own if she doesn't try.

Wow, lots going on today.

PJ, love your art work. I hope you can work out a feasible schedule that doesn't interfere with your disability.

Pondy, I hope Eleanor's mama can get used to dropping her off at day care without tears.

Mags, I feel badly for your mil. It's awful to know that you're losing your capabilities.

Woke up today with the same old same old. BP and heart rate way up and Jack's problem too.

Chic, yes landlord is still trying to sell the house. In fact, he's coming over with the realtor this morning to do a walk thru. I sent him a text last night asking them to wear masks when they come in.

After they leave I might take a nap with Billie. Don't feel good today so maybe a nap would help.

Landlord came with the realtor but none of them were wearing masks!! Did a brief walkthru and then left. I apologized for the mess and said I was supposed to get a homemaker to do housework but haven't got one yet.

Oh Suze, no hot water until Monday! You'll be busy heating water.

Least, is the landlord planning to sell your place now? I remember he talked to you about it a few months ago. Do you know how many months you would have before you needed to move out if the house sells?

PJ, I love the colors you used in the painting.

Pondy, I have 2 grandkids who live nearby and 3 who live on the West coast. I always cry when I leave them. Thank goodness for FaceTime.

As far as I know, he wants to sell it. But he'd have to do a lot of work on the inside to get it ready to sell. I'm just hoping that if someone buys it, they'll let me stay and keep on renting it.

My smart husband has fixed our hot water.....I should have listened to him last night.....there is a reset switch under the panel (behind screws). The plumber did not mention this....hmmm.

PJ, your mum was a trooper (as we say in England) that must have been quite the challenge for her.
I love your painting too!

Suze oh no! I know you’ll manage best you can love but it is an unexpected inconvenience for you and Goat.

Pondy, It would be wonderful if you lived closer to Eleanor and her mama or vice versa. It will take a lot of thinking and planning but I’m sure there can be compromises. I’ve missed your ‘bible’ bath mentions… I will pass on your kind thoughts to Daisy. Hopefully she’ll be here herself in the very near future.

Least, it would be nice if you could get a home maker to assist you. very rude of landlord and other not to wear a mask on your request. Hope it all works out, home wise.

Thanks for the kind words for mil. She was better today, didn’t remember any of yesterday at all. She always used a diary to write in and still does mostly but she’s at the stage she forgets to look at it. I know it’s going to get harder for mil and all of us in the near future.

love to all dear Whinys xxxx

Yay, Suze. I bet you're doing a happy dance.

Least, I hope that if/when someone buys the house, they continue to use it as a rental.

That’s good news Suze. Shame the plumber forgot to mention it. Will you be able to cancel his call out for Monday?

Least is it worth asking your landlord if he’s selling it with a living tenant?

Hi everyone,

PJ, I'm thinking that Inner World Problems transcends any comparison of 1st to 3rd world problems. That so much exercise doesn't touch the flight/fight feelings just sucks beyond sucks. I want to think you can go with the desire for flight and get in really good shape but it sounds like you are already doing that to no avail . . . ugh . . . recovery seems to require one heck of a lot of blind faith.

Mags, I have found my Dad's friends to be difficult to deal with. They tend to have lots of opinions about his care and complain if Dad doesn't call them. I am deeply grateful for how deeply these friends care about him and struggle at the same time . . .sigh.

I've shoveled a bit, retrieved a few things from my car, done 10 minutes of yoga. I'm feeling weirdly woozy so will take some Tylenol and find something to eat.

Today: call electrical company, burn some papers, file some papers and get more exercise

Suze I called the agency across the street and asked if I could buy taxi passes with my debit card. He said yes, so tomorrow I'll go over there and get some more passes. That makes it easier for me.

I don't think I'll take a nap after all. Ill make another cuppa and take Billie out to relieve herself. I don't know where I'd be without Billie's faithful loving company.

PJ, that is beautiful and as for first world problems..I think if they are problems for you then they are highly important. I am here for you!!
Least, I hope the new owners let you stay there, also I hope you start to feel better soon. I think you mentioned you have an appointment in March with a GI specialist.
Venus..? I am curious now
Went over to my Mom's to help her, washed her dishes, floors, vacuumed, did a quick run to the grocery store and made her a lunch. She finally agreed to give me her credit card for her shopping to save me a trip. I have been having to go by the grocery store to her house just to turn back around to go to the store to do her shopping. She told me to be very careful with her credit card. I told her I would be as careful with hers as I am with mine. She then quizzically asked if I had a credit card, and stated she did not know I had one. Hmmm.
We are supposed to get a big storm starting tonight. It is supposed to come in as rain and turn to snow.
Venus, glad you have hot water now..otherwise...snow bath

OK....for Bekind as well.

A long time ago, Pondlady had a funny typo. It all started with a bubble bath that accidentally became a 'bible bath' thanks to autocorrect.
So we started the bible bath joke. And then there was another typo that ended up sounding like Pondlady was having a bible bath on the patio.
And I lost it...it was so funny. And so she added one more part: "in front of the nation" (that may also have been typo-generated, I forget )

So that is how we whiners roll now: with our bible baths on the patio in front of the nation.

❤️
