It is so crushingly humid here. I hate that "I can't breathe" feeling.

Yay summer.

The rain here cooled things off just enough to get some sleep. Looks like today is the last of the REALLY hot-n-sticky air...then it's just back to regular "summer hot". October can't get here soon enough

yeah the heat and humidity with the I cant breathe stuff is KILLER. I hate running in the humidity its like trying to breath under water or something. AND it can trigger a panic attack for me. if i feel short of breath becuase of something like humidity forget it i'll spiral into panic if not careful.

The basement is always cool here too. I want to live in the basement!

It is a common area though... washer and dryer are down there. it bums me out that we have to put the air on when it is cool downstairs! This may be the last of it. I think like Formerbeerlover was saying, today may be the last day of our "heat dome".

And that's ok with me.

I'm inside and not happy about the constant air on....and I am packing. Hoping to move within one week. I put off a good part of the packing and now I'm panicking. Then I look around and realize I may actually have more done than I thought. Trying to pace myself. Not looking forward to going out in the heat, but I am taking a meeting into a rehab tonight. Maybe it will be a bit cooler then.

No matter what, I will make it through this heat, too! We will cool off in Maryland on Thursday or Friday. ouch.

Looks like yesterday was the last of the worst of the humidity. I can already feel the difference this morning. I can't imagine living down south this time of year.

Hi Sugarbear, good luck with the move

FBL it was unbelievable here yesterday- 109 with the heat index. I was in it briefly, in the shade and felt affected. That crushing humidity, I was having a hard time breathing and felt bad for the rest of the evening.

I hear ya, Sleepie. I was out driving around yesterday afternoon and it was the first time ever that my car thermometer hit 101 degrees! It's still hot today, but not as humid. Looking forward to some cooler temps by the end of this week (hopefully)!

It's unbearable here in Ohio too. Today it's 91. Thankful for a breeze. I mostly stay inside in the a/c.

What's the heat index least are you in triple digits? Gotta stay safe.

I just had 4 whole hours of actual deep sleep. I can count on one hand how often that has happened in the last year. Yesterday wrecked me, I was not doing well. The humidity did lessen as FBL said and I opened the windows and could get fresh (urban) air.

I ran in the heat today i thnk my GPS said it was 95 tho the weather said it was 86 feels like 93 I dunno it felt like a billion to me and was so humid!!

lucky for me itw as just my easy day so I only ran 3.25 miles but good god it was awful!! oddly it wasnt a struggle tho. usually in the high heat and humidity i'm like running half dead lol.

I think it cools down for us some at the end of the week.

Y'know what we do this time of year?

Sweat. All day long. Even in AC.

We don't fry eggs on cars. We fry pork chops.

At 7 AM I walked to the car and broke a sweat.

This isn't even the REAL South. This ain't Savannah or Valdosta. This is Atlanta, a city with some elevation. Let's not talk about low-lying spots.

I've lived through 100F* with 100% humidity

Depression is hitting pretty hard. This weather is very oppressive. I feel how people say they do in February. Except there's another month and a half to go.

how come when people complain about the cold months, nobody'd like "Hey, ya know what I do? I put on a sweater, I bundle up. This ain't even the real north. I've been in 40 below weather". (I actually have).

Anyway I guess I'll just keep my mouth shut since apparently people don't get this version of "reverse" seasonal disorder, because that's honestly what it has always felt like. I don't need to be told to essentially "suck it up". In the cold months everyone else has company while I feel guilty for even being happy. Nobody tells someone else "Ya know what I do?..."

Just forget it. Like I said I'll keep my mouth shut.
