Kaily, daisy is lucky to have found you.

Dawg, definitely a big game today for you guys. I still look forward to the games, but it's different since I quit drinking. Not going to use it for an excuse to rack up a tab at the sports bar, or to start drinking in front of the tv at 12:30 when the first SEC game starts. The sports bar was a trigger for a while, but not anymore. Buying into the smack talking just fed the beast for way too long. We're going to our game next weekend, but I'll not be drinking. Don't know if I'll ever go back to the game in Jacksonville. A friend of mine who played at GA in the 80s, with whom I have emptied numerous coolers of beer, also put down his cuzzie in the last year. You can do it!

Hi PJ, I like that you sound cheerful. I hope you are relatively pain free, comfortable and in good spirits (of the healthy kind we‘re all striving for).

You all had a proper meeting while I was sleeping. So many Wins in the past few pages, sober milestones, long marriages, just making it through the days is good enough for me right now.

Mags and Kaily, thinking of you and your rehab (injury/pain rehab.) Keep up the good work on the exercises. I do about 12 different repetitive exercises every day with my resistance bands. I have various, "Imma gettin' old," issues that do much better when I stay on top of the exercises. Too much sitting in itself causes me problems.

Sober Saturday morning never gets old, ya'll. Enjoy all your sports games. I broke down and added a sports channel on my ROKU. I'm not sure how much of it is free yet, have to peruse the TOS.

Bim, I share your love for walking in the rain. I would go so far as to say it‘s therapeutic. I expect Sao, living in London, would point out that there‘s a limit to everything.

I thought it well to embed this music video, in case there are any of us who still has a little bit of goth hidden somewhere deep in us. I know it will not be everyone‘s cup of tea, but don‘t think it would offend either. The song is by a German duo called Lebanon Hanover. If you look closely you‘ll even see the historic bridge crossing the river Neckar at Heidelberg, Germany.

I do love walking in the rain (I redacted that part of my post, ooops, sorry Captain.) It is a connection with nature that involves so much scent, sound and touch. It's pretty magical.

I'm in Seattle, I'm pretty sure our rainfall numbers could stand up to London's. If I didn't walk in the rain, I wouldn't go outdoors from November through February. Good shoes, a light rain jacket with a hood. This year I might even finally buy some waterproof pants. Amazon has promised I could have them in nine minutes.

No problem, Bim, and thanks for that, I would otherwise have looked quite the fool.

Ha ha Bim, I just reread your post over and over again to see where it mentioned walking in the rain. Thought I was going mad...

I use that edit feature WAY TOO OFTEN Venus usually catches the "real" me before I fix stuff. Don't tell on me, Venus.

Maybe that will be my New Year's Resolution, to stop using it.

LOL Kaily, so on it goes…I‘m glad to hear the first thought that popped into your head was not that it is I who‘s going mad!

I just did a little Googling:

London yearly rainfall average = 27 inches (690 mm)
Seattle = 37 inches (939 MM)

Bim nah, I must do more edits than you, especially last couple months. That’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it! I’m still hurting from yesterday’s physio. But I’m doing it as I should. I’m impressed you’re still doing yours.

That doesn’t seem too much rainfall really in a year.

Good morning Weekenders. I am fortunate enough to get to play some tennis this noon in beautiful weather. Then I will be baby-sitting my 5 year old granddaughter. We both have pretty small bubbles or pods of contacts but I still worry about COVID because of the Delta variant and she is too young for the vaccine. Anyway, hope everyone has a great Saturday.

Mags, I do the exercises because I don't like pain, and the exercises keep it away. Use it or lose it, right?

I lived in Florida, you know, "The Sunshine State."

Miami (far south Florida) gets 61.9 inches (1570 mm) of rain a year...and then the rest of the time it's too hot. I'll take Seattle or London any day.

Captain I really enjoyed that music video. Reminds me of the 80s New Wave/Punk music I enjoy. Not sure about the meaning of the video though. I was hoping the two people getting bumped would reunite and hug or something.

That will keep me busy for a couple hours and make room for my new books that are currently sitting in piles on the (nice clean) rug.

If it's still sunny and cool I'll walk Billie a few times. Today I walked almost 12,000 steps - over 5 miles!

I ate too much at dinner and am bloated and have a stomach ache. That's what I get for pigging out...
Been there many times least…Sometimes when I’m hungry for too long, I let my eyes get bigger than my stomach 😲👀

Wow, forwards, glad to hear from you! Yes, almost the four digit club!

Congrats to all the other milestones celebrated today.

Today, walk, golf, maybe a fire in fireplace tonight.

Ah good point Bim. Yes use it or lose it. Makes lots of sense.

Intro, I can be guilty of that too.
