Up wth the brits, waiting to drive Mrs Daisy..... I'm planning on not taking too much risk with the bathroom. Flooring was picked out a long time ago. I will have to buy a new counter top or even a whole new cabinet. The walls and ceiling will be primed white and left that way, Mrs D can choose colors later. Think I'll replace the baseboards and leave them unfinished too.

I love it that Mrs Dragon has no idea she's about to have a new bathroom. I'd be thrilled if someone would just keep mine clean for me. I really need to do new tile but $$$.

Kaily, gorillas make great "family." There are also a lot of other people who are interested in them and I've met some nice people just standing around the gorilla exhibit and talking.

I don't really get lonely, I figure if I want to be with people there are seven and a half billion of them out there. I find in sobriety I still like to keep things light and not get too involved with too many people - but that's okay with me, and if I want more there are always meetings of all kinds: book clubs, cooking classes, church, etc.

I started going to the zoo because I like the park and the animals. The more I went the more people I met - both zoo employees and volunteers and just regular visitors. Can't really avoid people sometimes - even when I want to.

I am happily sober this Sunday morning. It's o'dark thirty here. Well, it's 4:03am. Yay!? Beach walk later, I stayed in all day yesterday.

Good morning/evening everyone!

Dee - there was something she had said also, I forget what that raised a red flag in my mind over the course of her speech. No one is perfect, and imo, she was over analyzing every fear over the course of the swim with her husband up to the point of divorce, and it made her agitated after the swim instead. But overall, very funny, intelligent and lovely lady.

Mariposa - same here!

The Raptors won - wohoo!

I learned so much!

1 - Leonard is a gift from the above (45 pts) - he's in a league of his own.
2 - there are no Power Plays or real penalties but after 6 fouls you're out.
3 - there's a 24 second buzzer that goes off in between shootings to prevent stalling the game.
4 - we are gonna win this ultimate trophy and I will have my picture taken next to it at the parade. :P

I got into it, I like more active sports. You couldn't pay me to watch baseball or golf on the other hand.

Have a good one, hang in there!

Nice looking gardens Mags.

Yes Bim , I know what you mean about keeping things uncomplicated. I am the same, never used to be, in fact quite the opposite.

Haha imagine if Mrs STDragon came home to this bathroom ...

Good Morning Everyone;

"Slept in" to 6:30 this morning. Will linger over coffee and being audience to dog play before hitting the computer and my take-home work.

So far only a single bold titmouse has been visiting the bird feeders, but they typically are the first. Once the others see it is "safe" I expect it to be like London's Heathrow.

I have a funny story about that--I was on my first international trip at age 18, and was sitting in Heathrow at a booth with the Clash behind me in the next booth. No VIP lounge for them!

Anyway, I had met this guy from Glasgow who was really nice but I could barely understand a word he said as he was fluent in Glaswegian more than standard RP English. We wrote letters for a few years (just friends) but that was easier due to standard spelling, etc.

If anyone is confused what I mean, I will post a useful short video later when on my computer. . .

Wow... Sunday, still nice weather.

Hope everyone doing fine!!

Been to gym, first time in years. Then shower and went for nice meal - been a long long time since I've been invited for a meal at somebodys apartment.

I thought maybe I should take some wine or something - so I did but made very clear I wasnt drinking. I was doing what I think we are 'supposed' to do.

There's no need for me to say 'Im an alcoholic' - I just say I dont like the taste. Easy. But I do feel so disconnected from 'normal' people at the moment. Is like the way they live kind of feels 'different', but I guess I never really wanted 'normal' stuff anyway.

Funny picking up wine from the shop - I wanted to say something like 'Its not for me, honest!' - of course I did not say this - but I kind of felt guilty if that makes any sense. Stupid I know.

But it was a nice meal. So invited this person over in the week for a meal at mine on Wednesday. (Wednesday is holiday here - 1 May, so I better tidy my place a bit !! )

Back now, and I think my whole body is going to ache tomorrow, hope I didnt go too crazy in the gym - I know it takes a few sessions to get into this!

Going to have nice long soak in bath.

Cheers all!

Ive started watching 'The Last Kingdom' - loving it.

Lots of Vikings attacking.

World looks much more fun in those old days than now! - Maybe I should get me an axe and a big sword..... only joking.
