Morning weekenders.
Welcome to the weekender calvary62 and Evoo. Congratulations on the newborn Evoo. Glad you decided to pursue this adventure sober..
So congrats MB on the new "boyfriend" I'm taking a risk
I also very much dislike long waits in airports. Getting older I kind of dislike work trips generally now.
Mags it is very nice to see you posting in the weekender.
Chair looks fantastic Dragon.
Manta I think you could go start your own business with those juices.
Sao things will pick up they usually do. Can you not negotiate maybe a little training course or a mooc or something with your boss while it's slack...
Captain nice to hear from you you.
Salutations to all you weekenders CK, PJ, liste, Kaily, Hawkeye, Bim, James, Andy and anyone I may have missed. Have a great week.

Congrats Evoo! What a wonderfully exciting time of life for you xx
Good job Willow getting home safe and sound. x
Good luck MB, what is meant to be will be so just be yourself and see what happens xx
It’s been such a lovely thread this weekend, lots of people, lots of fun and support. Couldn’t be prouder to be part of it and another sober weekend in the bag folks!!! x
I am not going to post my plans for the day as I have got into a habit of writing them out and not actually flipping well doing it!! In active addiction I used to spend hours writing out plans and lists and organising on paper, I was bloody good at it but when it came to doing the stuff on my fancy plan...I fell very short. This weekend I found I was tempted to write out a plan of what to do, but I know what to do and action is the solution!
Let’s see what I actually get done!

Manta, my lists sound like your plans. I write down what i need to do for the day, then forget I’ve wrote a list. I need a reminder list to look at my original list.
Willow, pleased your home safe.x
Congratulations Evoo on your new baby.

So, I am back from the interview.
They offered me the job.
I accepted it.
The entire process will take about a month, but the start is made.
Life is so weird)
Actually you go it, Andy. Yesterday I had zero anxiety about the upcoming interview, and didn't even prepare for it - not because of some audacity, but because I really know enough.
And I treated it more like an interesting conversation.
And just was myself (thanks, Manta)
Vinny - Ehhh, the word "boyfriend" sounds so.... "out of practice".
I am going to have some tea and get back to reading your posts)
Thank you all a lot for support!

Thanks for all the congrats on the newborn . Actually it’s 6am on Monday morning — just fed him, burped him, changed diaper and put him back to sleep so my wife could get a little more rest. He’s already back asleep.
This is actually a 3-day weekend for me. All across the board, just an amazing weekend.

Great news MB! Such a lot of changes for you this week, maybe this is your week to buy a lottery ticket lol 😂 Least you can rest easy knowing you’ll have some money coming in soon and can really enjoy the next month before you start xx
Plenty of good news on the weekender thread to catch up on this morning. I was a little out of touch the past few days dealing with family issues, but I am happy to start my Monday by reading about nice things. I wish everybody great days ahead.

I feel like I need a weekend after the weekend. Ya'll know I like to stay busy...but that was nonstop busy! I even hung around people who were drinking, and was fine. I did enjoy the smell of the beer they had, but at no point did I consider drinking. Cheer! Day 178.
