Keep fighting the good fight Taooo, and everyone else too. It gets better and more exciting with time.

Today I discovered it's fun dancing with dear daughter in the middle of the grocery store isle. Lot's of laughs to be had.

Morning...

Dancing in the aisle of the grocery store sounds good. I will try it out later.

05:00 here near Toulouse in France.
Happy Saturday to all.

Visited cuz today- used to work with one of my sons- and he has been to cousin's house- which kinda hurt (the guilts), but turning that emotion around into something workable, I am happy my son is doing well in his life.

LOTS of extended skeletons came out of the cupboard. My cousin actually knew stuff about my family of origin, my parents never revealed- and she has known for some time.

B.loody families.

Mostly about keeping a veneer of happiness for the world- while the family slowly decays in private.
We both agreed with the other- such experiences are okay to talk about and process- but not to ruminate over.

Morning, weekenders.

I had a good night sleep and ready for sober Saturday.

Listae - Welcome. Being sober is as cool as it gets. It just takes some time to discover it and learn the coolness of the process. My new motto is "Sober is new bada$$".

More coffee for me.

Phoenix, that is a great wording. I certainly know what you are talking about.

Morning all,

No plans other than to stay sober, a feat in itself.

Well done on ignoring that AV Taooo, it gets less frequent with time.

PhoenixJ i'm glad you are able to talk to your cousin but are not dwelling too much on this family stuff. Your life is yours and you are doing really well with it know.

I think I would enjoy it.

Less of the "old" - it was only made in 1969! ... Oh, right...
LOL! It is quite good - style wise it is a sort of British Ocean's Eleven. There are some memorable scenes and lines in it.

We have been really lucky with the weather in London the last few days, it can't last much longer.

I’m in!

STDragon, your dancing in the supermarket aisle made me smile and reminded me when we were in holiday. We had a lift up to our room and if we was the only ones in the lift we used to dance around, it was the crazy lift music that was played that made us do it!

I loved the original Italian job, yeah Saou, some great one liners from it!

Midnight, fingers crossed, though I’m confident you won’t need them!

Great weather here this morning, reminding me our windows need cleaning, as the sun streams through them!

Have a good sober weekend.

Hi, Mags.

Thank you.

We have a great weather too, absolute spring day. But I will turn a blind eye on my windows

I hear you on the window cleaning Mags! Yet another stunning day on the Lancashire/ Yorkshire border and I can see the cat snot streaks on the window where he has had his face pressed up against it all winter haha!

I’ve been procrastinating a LOT in regards to getting the last bit of the sorting in the house done. I am determined to get on with it so when I start my new job a week on Monday I start with a clean slate and no dragging old behaviours or baggage with me.

Have a lovely day everyone and be good xx

I'm having a quiet weekend. I should really get outside as it's a spring-like day here in the north east of England. But I'm watching the skiing on TV and it certainly looks like winter in Sweden. Lot's of snow!

Unfortunately I can't walk far at the moment, I twisted my knee the other day and it's a bit swollen and sore so I'm resting it up.

My plans for today are to stretch out on the settee and to watch the skiing now then this afternoon to watch the football (or soccer if you're in the US!). And maybe to demolish a packet of Liquorice Allsorts

if they don't sell them in your country. They really are delicious!

It's been False Spring all month here. Today it's 60F headed for 70F. A little rain but nice.

Wonderful news!

You can keep looking for dream job but moving forward with this may at least be a short term solution to get financials back in order and get the stress monkey off your back

Morning all.

Todays plans involve helping daughter build a model chair for her digital media application portfolio. Then she needs to build a set and take photos. I'll post one if I get the artists permission.

Can you find something fun and interesting to keep yourself busy Kaily? Makes it easier to cope rather than white knuckeling it thu the weekend.

It’s incredible what families hide from one another PJ, I hear you on that one, also what untruths they can tell.... we have a few jangling skeletons in our family too, more than I had realised, and no doubt more that I’ll never know about, so they won’t hurt me.

Sao that’s a fabulous photo! Really lovely

I hope we get to see a photo of the chair Dragon

Hope your nose continues to clear quickly Manta, it’s so hard trying to sleep when you can’t breathe!

We went to the nearby dam today and had an afternoon family picnic, it was really lovely, very peaceful

Hey all. 7:40 am here. Been up since the usual 5am. Haven't really had the greatest week. First time I've come even close to daydreaming about drinking in the past 6 weeks since this quit. Nowhere near there...just indicative of a funk I guess. Recent life events- some mine some others- that have me feeling a little down and wondering what the heck it's all about.

Will be staying close. Glad you're all here.
