Which! Had a really strong craving earlier that lasted almost an hour. Ate dinner, read posts on SR and talked with my husband about it. All is well now. Did realize that talking with my sister is a trigger--I absolutely adore her and miss her so much (we are several hundred miles apart). Love our phone calls--we laugh hysterically over so many things. Not sure if the trigger was the joy in talking with her or the sadness that we're apart--probably both. But craving is gone and I learned a little more about staying sober. Win!

I usually just put a gloss coat on my fingernails. I bought some slate gray polish the other day, but haven't decided if I have the nerve to paint my fingernails such a "radical" color. I mean, how much dangerous living can a girl take, lol.

All this nail polish talk. I own gray and lilac purple but haven't painted my nails in a long while. Maybe I will.
Hammered was a poor choice BigS but I only realized that after it was too late.
Good to see everyone on here. Pouncer, I still think about drinking and it's been a while but it does get better. More like a mosquito whine now than big bass drums.
What a day. My brother texted that my dad was in the hospital. He'll be there 3 to 5 days. Apparently pneumonia. Giving him antibiotics and since my mother was going home from the hospital, apparently they aren't hugely concerned. I talked to him and he's in good spirits. I think he's just glad it isn't his heart which is what he thought it was. Since he's a walking Cyberman with defibrillator and pace maker, heart things are not unexpected. I'm home with the kids and will visit him tomorrow.
Weasel, I'm glad you can say you want a gallon of whiskey. I understand completely. You aren't gonna do it but you're getting it out there. I do similar. Like Non says, we don't have to act on our feelings. I think acknowledging them deflates them of their power.
So, messy house. Not dealing with it today. Resolutely refuse. Tomorrow I have to deal with some annoyances. And maybe see if I can get my lawn mower fixed although it's supposed to rain.

Finally got around to trying a Breakfast Snack that Da Wife saw in some Mag.
Whole Wheat Toast. Peanut Butter. Marmalade. A few Basil Leaves. A lil Sriracha Sauce sprinkled on.
A veritable cacaphony of opposing Tastes in yo Mouf. Really good.
We drove up the Canyon made famous by these two. It had been a while. A good Attitude Reset @ ~8,800' Elevation. At the end of this Road, you can see Caribou Ranch & Studio where this Tune was recorded back when Joe was Alcoholic Toast. >20 years Sober for him these days. A real Hero...

Caribou Ranch Pictures, including the Barn that became the Recording Studio and namesake for Joe's 'Barnstorm' Disc.
From memory, it carved down from ~4,800 Acres as a working Ranch to mebbe ~1,600 Acres. The Walton Family just bought it for ~$32.5 Million, and claim it will remain as is to serve as a Family Retreat. Chump Change. I thought that mebbe these purdy Rocky Mountain Pix would be a nice Friday night chill.

I see that Soberpotamus has something in common with my Polish Wife:
'I'm a toes only polish girl too.'
