Thank God you woke up Ken and talked some sense into me. I really didn't know how I was going to give up BACON.
I administer housing subsidies. We have one girl who has a Dr excuse to have a service dog for PTSD. This means a landlord had to let her have the dog. Well she went full throttle and also got a service miniature pony and pot belly pig. Try dealing with the landlord who was livid after seeing "a horse and pig" on the brand new carpet in his living room. He saw pics on FB

I have acute, chronic, long standing, sudden, debilitating, and complex man-flu. The weather outside is horrendous. So I have decided to have a lazy start to this bank holiday weekend by drinking coffee in bed and listening to podcasts. I'm currently listening to This American Life, which relates an interesting tale of 'refusniks' who don't cooperate with internal border patrols. Fascinating - I'm going to youtube them now.
A few of you mentioned David Sadaris earlier. His sardonic wit and look on life is brilliant.

funny scarlet, and frankly, I don't give a damn...
but when I quit bacon a couple weeks ago, a request from the wife I said I was going all out one last time, one giant blt.
And in case anyone out there wants to know the secret ingredient in red velvet cake or red velvet fudge, it is of course, "red flavor".
I saw some red velvet fudge in a case and because the mrs "needs" a sugar fix when she is preparing for exams - seems she is always preparing for exams and it shows - an anniversary gift of fudge was in order. So I ask the lady how it's made, "Let me get someone who knows, she makes it." Lady 2 shows up. "What is used to flavor the red velvet fudge?" I ask. They add "RED FLAVOR" to it. Uh, I mean is it cherry or strawberry or something like that. "No, it's just RED FLAVOR."
Since I didn't do it last night. I'll be on my knees scrubbing kitchen floor within the hour. And yes, I purchased knee pads for the job.
