I had a good friend in Old Orchard Beach, Maine. He owned a restaurant called "The Old Whaler" back in the 70s. At that time I lived in Florida and he would come down for a couple months in the winter. He had renovated an old school bus and had outfitted the inside to look like a quaint, rustic home inside. I loved that bus and wished I could take off for a trip in it. It was like a comfortable cabin in the woods.

That's what I always think about when you say "magic bus."

Did I mention all the drugs and alcohol consumed in that bus? It was the 70s in Florida. Pretty much a given.

^^internet bus...

Hey Weekenders!!

I've another packed weekend this week!!

Looking forward to kicking off the NFL season tonight, it's gonna be a late one, but I'm off work tomorrow, and then roll on the weekend games!!

I have a charity event on both Friday and Saturday, the first is a fundraiser for a charity called Chest, Heart and Stroke, and the second is a cancer charity were I've signed up for a 10k walk, all in all, it should build me up some karma somewhere along the line!!

I guess that was my biggest barrier to being Sober, what to do on weekends, sitting in with my thoughts, with all this newfound time on my hands, that didn't sound like much fun, but instead filling my time, my evenings, my weekends with new things to do, things not centred around alcohol . . . did someone say FREEDOM?!!

We can do this Weekenders!!

Hello my weeKENders ,
Still getting over the sniffles here . Mex-m8 has some gardening work tomorrow so i might go and give a hand with that . He's fixating over the problems with his house because he might sell it soon when we move, things no-one else would notice .

The job hunt continues , I'm waiting for an I-phone to be delivered and it is taking FOREVER , next week i'll be planning a re-fresh of the resume, hopefully with a new mobile number ..

For the moment i'm just taking it easy fielding phone calls from recruiters , playing my guitar … maybe try doing a bit of recording over the weekend , i also want to get my air-brush out and do some dolphin pictures to see if i can , also i'd like to do some of a jelly-fish … high hopes

cheers , m

Hi, weekenders)

I surely need a get away this weekend!

May I take a seat near the window so I would just sit back and enjoy the view?

Packing good mood and all my 690 sober days with me)

Old Self.... That practically an outburst for you! LOL welcome aboard!

Hi Luper!

Well just read Joan Rivers passed today. She was a love or hate kind of character but I liked her. She spoke her mind.

Gee, Weasel, your original post had five buses and that's the SR limit--and they're filling up fast. Maybe we'll also reach the limit of 500 posts!

I just phoned my Mom on Maui and my wife at work. Mom is having tenant problems, and wife is having a bad day at work. So can the buses stop here on Orcas Island at the convenience store to cheer up my wife, then head to Maui (on a ferry) where a three-bedroom house on a private half acre needs sober tenants?

I thought about magic bus - went back to make sure. yep, turtle already posted it.
The doctor told me to do PT on my own - or pay $40 a visit - and that's about all I can do for my shoulder. Tough it out and hope it gets better in 3 to 6 months. Well alrighty then... guess I'll throw in a few tunes. Something for the back to school bunch and that fall air.

60 days ccam!
