Holli... Everyone here is a non drinking soul. From our deepest beings we know what we want.
Judging ourselves is part of what keeps us in place.

Holli... In an instant we can go from sane to insane. I had wonderful sunny warm mornings and afternoons only to be despicable by sunset.
Stop for today. It's good you are here with us. But stop thinking for today. Tomorrow when you wake post for us. Say hello. It will be a new day. A doable sober day. For real.

Holli, honestly not to worry!!
btw I can't remember how many times I had to try until I finally managed a long Sober stretch, if they were handing t-shirts out for every time, I'd have needed a couple of boxes!
Have an early night, get some rest, tomorrow is Saturday, a new day, keep it simple, 1 day at a time that's how most of us are managing!! . . . and we'll all still be here in the morning!!

Hi there Weasel, yes first sober weekend since April 20th. Made a solid five weeks and decided that I needed to inhale a glass of wine while I was cooking Easter dinner for family. The AV whispered in my ear, "Go ahead, it's been five weeks, it's only wine, just today". One glass turned into two bottles, Sunday turned into a week and a half.
Shame. Those five weeks were awesome. Anyhow, back on track, going away next week,
hanging tough. G'night all!

Holli you so did not mess up the thread so just keep coming back. For everyone who is still very early, it can be done. Even on a weekend. When I quit I was facing a week's vacation at home. I was freaking out that I would spend the entire week stuck in a bottle but I got busy. I made plans to do things. Every day was baby steps. A little further each time. Even if you are plodding with the weight of the world on your shoulders we are here to help lighten the load. We have all been there. Come here a lot. For a while my iPad and this website were with me all the time.
I went to my beginners meeting tonight and the topic of discussion was the serenity prayer. How you use it as a tool in sobriety. I think it is a great thing even if you aren't religious. Just say "grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change." You could be saying it to the clouds above. It has carried me through when I needed it numerous times.
Now I'm home and watching my son kill zombies with pea shooters. Plants vs. zombies. Daughter asleep. Mother in law on couch, visiting us. Me cruising here. I think it will be an early night.
