Things are not so bad. Been back into my running and exercise which is cool - lost a stone. Been stuggling to make the sobriety stick though. A few weeks on a few weeks off. Hoping to have a real crack at making it work again.

Otherwise its cool.

Hi Hevyn!

Hope everything is okay for you.
It does seem like a long time has pased since I decided to cut drinking out of my life. The last year or so havent been awful to be honest so I wont be melodramatic but I have been living by an ever more complex set of rules as to when i can and cant drink and how much etc etc. I keep breaking them and then hauling myself back and creating a new rule and so on. And regularly I blow out completely and have to get myself into line again.

I was thinking the other day I spend more time thinking about when I can next have a drink and how much than just getting on with living. Even though on the whole it has just about kept me straight enough to function normally its a pretty exhausting process.

I'm going to have another go at stopping straight out. But this time it will be the rules I am quitting rather than the drink!

Anyway, all the best to you and everyone else on here trying their best.

Good to read your update We started around the same time in '07 and I've wondered about you. I've been on and off SR, but started back in March and the third time really seems to be the charm this time.

Hi everyone. Dont come here as often as I once did (and should).

Just wanted to wish everyone a happy christmas. It can be a tough time with so many people drinking so i wish you all the best and hope you win your fights.

For those who remember me I am ticking along okay. Going through periods of not drinking and then drinking again. But generally 'sort of' keeping it under control and getting on with my life.

Anyway, hope all is well and wishing you all the best!

Not bad thanks dee.

Very rainy this summer. Been a bit of a headache trying to get out and mow the lawn and things. Winning though.

Hope aus is treating you well. Weather is great but spiders are hell!

You have the greatest collection of 'things' on earth dee. Spiders, scorpions, giant leggy things. Swim in the sea and you have the greatest collection of stingy bitey things ever!

It's cool though. Would love to visit Australia. Apart from the above ..
