Next time I am confronted with the same situation I will not drink. I feel strong on that. I need to keep vigilant though - something I had stopped - and remind myself that I do not react normally to alcohol. Both the consumption of it and the thought of it!

Four days have passed since I slipped up so hopefully I managed to get a handle on it before it ran away. the desire to just say `to hell with it` for a while and get it out of my system was / is huge. Hpefully the feeling with pass soon.

Not been in here to much lately I realise. Been getting myself back on the right track. You know how it goes. Thought I would re-read this thread since it was my last real effort and see where I went wrong last time. Complacency I reckon.

Anyway, things are looking up and lifes not too bad right now. Starting to string a couple of clean weeks together so fingers crossed.

Like half the world been watching the swearing in of Obama today. I have found it very moving stuff. Inspirational. If he can do what he did then I can face my challenges! I think sometimes seeing someone else shoulder a great challenge can help you face up to your own.

Well, had a quite good day today. Went swimming of all things. Michael Phelps has nothing on me!

Not had a drink this week which is cool. Doing my best but its a bit stop start.
