Teeth hygiene is so important!

Plenny, hope your feeling better.

Willow, I’ve fired some dental people, like people, some are better than others.

Red, never drink NOW and don’t invite the AV to stay for tea.

Toots and purps, thanks for your omnipresent support.

Hi Zura😍

I have about 50 days before I graduate this class.

Love you all, and look forward to posting in ‘overs’ with all of you.

We CAN do it

I’m glad you’re feeling a bit better Plenny
The dentist gave me some free sensitive toothpaste and the pain has settled down completely 😁
Thankfully it only lasted a few days.

Free, you’re inching closer to the Overs, well done !
I actually made it to the overs at one point a couple of years back, but fell off the wagon and then kept falling off. I think sometimes it takes a few goes to get the hang of sticking to sobriety and learning to ignore the sneaky wily conniving lying AV.
We have to keep putting one sober foot in front of the other, one day at a time, and not allow ourselves be tempted by the AV to stray off the sober path, and we’ll get there

We can't wait to greet you in the Overs Free!

Willow, I know like a lot of folk, I stopped enjoying drinking, for the most part, long before I stopped drinking for good. All that my slides back into it did was reinforce my awareness that I needed to stop for good. But each slip gives us more knowledge, a better awareness of which tools work best and strengthens our resolve. I know for sure you will get back into the Overs and I know that this time you will make it count

Hi Samwich

Wow if Molly let’s you brush her teeth Toots, maybe Fonda will let me do his… however even though he’s a really good boy he always knows when I’m up to something and gets up and squirms and avoids. I don’t know how he KNOWS I have the eye dropper in my pocket!!

On that note, dogs can intuit so much and they seem to know and be a sponge for everything. Why don’t they know we will come home from work? Or are they just right — we are meant to be together every waking minute?

I’m just sad I’m going back to work tomorrow and I won’t have him with me.

I bet Fonda will miss having you home! Molly was already an old dog before I took up teethbrushing, and I used a standard brush for a while before I got a new electric one myself and wondered... she is such a good dog, she lets me do anything to her, so trusting. I left a plate of steak on the sofa this week when my neighbour came to the door, and she never touched it! As for knowing, we move house next Tuesday and she's been watching me pack boxes and getting very clingy. She's gone to stay with her 'other mum' my friend who takes her when we have our extended trips to Spain. When she comes home next week it will be to the new apartment.

Samwitch how's life treating you?

My dog is absolutely sure we need to be together 24/7. I don't know if he's the way he is because I got him right before the Pandemic, so I WAS home with him basically all the time, and now I normally work from home. So when I leave or God forbid have to take him to the vet without being able to go in with him(Pandemic, again) he's a basket case.

Super intelligent dog, just very needy :-)

He has his ways of letting me know!
I can’t wait to be able to adopt a sister for him. His breed supposedly gets along best with others of similar or larger size (and he’s BIG) who are the opposite sex. He does love his girlfriends around the neighborhood.

Work was ridiculous again with my manager girl. I have had some conversations with other friends who used an office job similar to mine to get out of the service industry. I just gotta put in a little time. But after that it’s going to be jobs with all the stuff like healthcare. God willing.

how’s everyone’s week going?

Hi :-)

a bit off topic (dogs and teeth - lol) - but just sharing a sugar tip ...

if you have a bit of sugar problem (like me) after quitting booze you might want to try stevia

it's a sugar substitute made from stevia plant (300 times sweeter than table sugar) with no carbohydrates, calories, or artificial muck

so far I've tested it with porridge oats and decaff coffee and I like it

I bought the green unprocessed stuff 100% natural - it has a slight aniseed/liquorish after-taste that is not unpleasant

and it works out about a seventh of the cost of table sugar

Thank you for the stevia tip. I have a bit of a sugar problem right now. I’m exercising and eating tons of healthy veggies and drinking lemon water and lots of good stuff. But at night. It’s all about ice cream. It just makes me so happy. But I am not getting in better shape and my inflammation is a bit up. I wish I could convince my ice cream friend to use stevia….
but his ingredients are so wholesome I swear since I switched to store bought ice cream I’ve gained weight.

Had a really rough day today. Both my car and my bicycle ended up in the shop before 8am, unexpectedly. Then straight into feeling alienated at the office all day. Then finding out the car is still a mystery after so much money. I’ve been putting so much money into it.
But with inflation and shortages I can’t get a new car. I need to maintain this one. I am trying very hard not to spiral

Oh Plenny, surviving a day like that shows just how strong you are. Believe in your tools and in yourself and don't let that sneaky AV tell you drink is the answer. It's wrong.

Stevia, ice cream, crying, bathing, exercising, learning something new, calling a trusted friend, ALL of that works, just don’t drink.

I came across some old diary entries I don’t remember writing.

I don’t miss that, writing with such resolve and hope, then deciding to drink and hating myself.

No more of that cycle.

Getting more freedom on the daily.

Hope all is well, undies 😍
