Moring toots and everyone else.

I’m doing fine thanks. It is a glorious sunny Saturday morning. Getting ready to get gardening. Early spring is the time to repot bonsais and I probably have a hundred or more (it’s a very addictive hobby and of course I have that type of personality). Fortunately I started in August already, as soon as I thought that the worst of winter is over.

Wishing everyone a restful sober weekend.

Thanks for all the encouragement, posts, honesty, and self humility.

With much appreciation I am saying goodby to my last first year.

Late to the party but CONGRATULATIONS!!
I remember how awesome that felt!

Good day to all of you One and Undie. I am on day 13 here in KC. I have stopped numerous times over the decades. Always hoping and praying that I should stop for good. Well this is the big one. I will never drink again. I have a new grand baby that I want to see grow up. She will never see me drunk. I am grateful for SR for helping me along this journey.

Welcome to the Undies Travelbug!

Nice work on Day 13

I had many starts and stops as well…and I also had that thought once my nieces and nephews started growing up….I thought I don’t want to be that aunt who’s drunk every time they see me!

Travelbug congrats on day 14 now, my grandson was a big motivator for me, not only didn't I want him seeing me drunk, but I wanted to always be there for him. Now I can truly say he can never recall his nana being drunk, and he knows he always has me in his corner! ( even if he is bigger than me now!!)

Wow Bonsais Captn Haddock, that sounds fascinating!

Hi everybody,
doing pretty good. Now the office job has been over for a couple weeks, the tv show is wrapped for me, and my training for the breakfast place is finished, I can sail into a new routine. It’ll take a bit to get situated but I’m really happy I’ll be working in the mornings and having lovely afternoons and evenings with my dog. Ha!

my aunt sent me a little birthday money. It’s been a nice and new thing for me to have family members that reach out and do nice things during special times. Anyway it was just a few bucks. Enough to buy my dog 3 new fall sweaters!!!! I just got so excited for him to have cute sweaters. It’s for my joy too!

Plenny you sound like a big weight has lifted. Belated birthday greetings, I reckon you gave yourself the best birthday present - moving away from that toxic environment

Morning Undies.

It’s a wonderful Saturday morning in my part of the world. No chance of spoiling that by drinking.

I hope everyone is doing okay.

Me too. Hi everyone

I’m 164 days sober now. I don’t know why that doesn’t feel like much. That’s so strange. Because a lot has happened and I’ve made a lot of changes. It’s a different approach to living that gets me different results than before. I love it. I am grateful for every day.

I just tidied up my house and cooked a little food. That makes everything better. It’s often the first step for me in art making. Clean house, food in the fridge.

now I need to make the art.

the dog needs a bath though. Lol

Good morning everyone!

Well today is the official last day of summer in my hemisphere and tomorrow it's supposed to get much colder. I'm looking forward to the change in weather--although I do hate to lose summer, fall is good too.

I've been so on and off this year with sobriety but I'm committed to ending the year without another drop of alcohol. I'm going to reinvent myself. That will give me over a 100 days to take into 2023 strong and of course continue from there.

Good for you Sam. Keep up the good work. I am at 17 weeks..or is it 18. Not keeping close track and just taking it day by day. I will stay focused and keep on the right path.
