Hi Everyone, Just checking in. Starting Day 29 this morning. Been super busy with work and helping out with my mom. Sorry I haven't been around so much. Just wanted to say hi, and let you know I'm still out here thinking about you all even if I am not here checking in.

I am feeling like I am lucky that I don't know what a vape kit is. This is a tobacco product yes? As in e-cigs? I keep hearing about this all over the news and tv shows re teenagers and the danger, but I have never known what they were talking about. Hmm.

Thank you for all the support! We have an appointment today at a place that will get us hooked up with the therapist. On Monday we have an appointment for labs to see if there’s damage to her organs and nutrient levels.
She and I had a candid conversation about addiction last night - food, restriction, process, self-injury, alcohol... all addictions IMO.
On a good note, I ordered myself some sobriety tokens. I’m participating in an online AA group, and I thought it was important to celebrate the big milestones for me. Being a binge drinker, it wasn’t unusual for me to go a week or so without a drink. When I hit the 30 day mark, that will be huge for me.

Watching the Trump impeachment trial. Probably shouldn't cuz it might make me want to drink Haha. On a brighter note, I mopped my floors for the first time in 6 months or so. That is a miracle because I hate household chores and when drinking I don't clean ever.

FF I used to take my cigarettes everywhere I went too, but I couldn’t have even thought about going for a run when I smoked. I quit 8 years ago after several failed attempts. One thing at a time worked for me too. Although 8 years till I quit alcohol is possibly a bit long between things lol.
And well done on 2 weeks sober!
Cityboy I used to take mini bottles of wine in my bag and in my pockets everywhere I went too... I’m glad I don’t have to worry about that anymore, it was tiring having to be constantly worried about whether I had enough and ensuring I never ran out.

Working out of town for first time since swearing off. Was fully expecting a major hurdle so found a local AA meeting. First time I've been to one. About a dozen people. They were welcoming and gave me a white chip. A couple of people gave extremely good talks. At least not borderline drunk by the time I got to hotel, nor transitioning to wine about now which would have normally been the case.

Good evening all! made it through my third day back at work and client presentation. I feel like I’m having trouble focusing and sometimes I feel like I’d be better if I was high, but I’m pushing through. I Know the more I work sober, the more I’ll be used to it. I hope everyone is having a good night.

I’m feeling a bit anxious about a not very tactical comment I made to a client yesterday. I tried to get in touch to apologise but there’s no answer on the phone. Or text.
So I just need to leave it be for now, but it’s really messing with my head. I know I tend to overthink and overanalyse and I’m trying to calm myself down.
It’s the sort of situation that in the past I would reach for a drink.
I made what I feel was a tactless mistake, and I feel helpless to fix it and am stressing about the consequences. Ahhhhh. I will NOT drink
