Way to go!

I’m feeling a bit anxious about a not very tactical comment I made to a client yesterday. I tried to get in touch to apologise but there’s no answer on the phone. Or text.
So I just need to leave it be for now, but it’s really messing with my head. I know I tend to overthink and overanalyse and I’m trying to calm myself down.
It’s the sort of situation that in the past I would reach for a drink.
I made what I feel was a tactless mistake, and I feel helpless to fix it and am stressing about the consequences. Ahhhhh. I will NOT drink
Last night I sent an email to a customer regarding his job status and my first line was "How's the weather in Seattle? LOL". Of course I know how it's been because SIL lives there. Wife said that it was a Jack axx thing to ask.

I have pretty severe social anxiety, but it was a non issue. They invited me back.

Yeah I think we all put our foot in our mouth sometimes lol. Well I know I do anyway. It turns out I was worrying over nothing (I am SO prone to doing that...) I spoke to the client again and everything is ok. Phew! I’d made a mountain out of a molehill and everything is ok
And I recognised the trigger to reach for a drink and I didn’t drink

Day 2 for me. Managed to get about 4 hours of sleep so far and really hoping for more before the morning as I really can’t miss any more work. I’ve forgotten how much I hate these first few days

Hi Classmates

Cynix. Well done on making the end of week 1. I hope you feel loads of accomplishment.
Ptown. Well done getting the first day under your belt. Welcome. You can do this. For me, just *not being hungover* helps me at work, even if I am tired. Your sleep will settle soon, I hope.
Cityboy, I am so impressed that you travelled for work, and had the foresight to plan like that. Researching to find an AA group in the place you were visiting , showing up and participating, having never been to an AA meeting before. It is brave and awesome.
Willow. Yesterday I wrote, what could be seen as a mean email and stressed about it also. Maybe we are more prone to anxiety attacks now, as we are healing.

My week has been going well. Some of the p*ssed-off, foggy cloud that has been following me around this last 4 weeks might be clearing. Not that I was angry, just irritable, fatigued and preoccupied, I think. My migraines/morning hangover seem to be better, fingers crossed.

Have a safe, sober and happy day classmates.

Good evening all.
That is outstanding. Well done you!!!! ❤️

I had trouble focusing for a bit as well. And was told if it didn't get better to go to my doc.
(I did go to the doc and y eyes improved radically in a few weeks odd...).

And then at two years sober I finally went to get my eyes tested again (way too slow) and they had improved. Seriously. At 50. The optometrist was stunned. And they are still that good. Just saying.... s ❤️

Awesome on 15 days dear ff!! s ❤️

And as I said to Willow in another thread....I do the same thing big time, and I call it catastrophising. I like naming it because when I start I can catch myself.
