Thank you lovely people s
I whacked it on my granite bloody bench top of the island in my kitchen while I was moving around too fast putting away groceries and dishes. It sticks out a couple of inches and is very thick.... brilliant huh.

Migraine mostly gone I think.....just that weird after-shadow part where my vision is not very sharp now.

Babs honey.....how are you? s xx

Suze I have done that wack the elbow thing too. It does smart for sure.
I went to AA yesterday and shared my stupid mistake. It was hard to do but, like here the group gave me such great support. I wanted to cry---like I said no one gets it ! ! ! just us alkies----you guys get my stinking thinking and put my mind where it needs to go---I say this everytime---that this is it! ! ! NOOOO more and then I turn and do something I think I can handle. What the heck? I will never get better and it will never go away-----like you guys must think sometimes too----I just want to be like a normal person and drink responsible.
Poop ! ! ! that isn't going to happen so, don't even bark up that tree. Anyway---doing better and going to stay away from that poison...like you said It will kill me.
going to go shopping to the grocery store with hubby( who still drinks) and get out of the house for awhile.
Hugs to you guys----thanks again for standing beside me -----again ! ! ! !

Babs, have you thought about also posting in Newcomers’ for awhile? Other options to help you when the going gets tough?

I'm a normal person - I just can't drink responsibly.
I also can't walk a tightrope, juggle, or run faster than Usain Bolt

When you remove alcohol from your life, life gets pretty darn good Babs
I reckon you'll find not drinking is a plus rather than a minus.

I could not agree with Dee's post more....jumping up and down and yelling yes yes yes!!

I have zero desire to drink responsibly dear Babs: I have had my fill. And most everyone else's too. I am done.

Here is a song for you that makes me SUPER happy.

Dee, so true! It’s sorta funny - these days I find you so helpful and enjoy your perspectives. That’s a far cry from how I sometimes used to feel and I have realized the difference is in me.

I'm glad to be back to myself. I don't like myself either when i'm drinking. This is how it's suppose to be. YES ! ! ! !

Another great day here today. We are driving to the western part of the state tomorrow and going to a musical tomorrow night. Really looking forward to it. I can't believe I got my husband to go. He's still drinking but seems to handle it ok these last few nights. I drank his booze when I slipt and I think he is being very careful. I'm thankful for that.

You too, Dee and again a very happy birthday to you!

Babs, good to hear you are doing well I think it would be good if you can take a look at other threads too. There are many good ones. Like all threads do, I think this one has been gradually slowing down.

Belated birthday greetings Dee

I agree with Sass Babs, we sometimes need some additional support or from a different angle. The Friends and Family threads might be a good one for you to spend some time.

Am in Spain, night time temps are 23/24C and uncomfortably hot. Getting about 3 hours sleep a night. Hubby & Gson arrived yesterday so I think today we are spending it at a nearby hotel that has a pool open to the public for a small price. Shouldn't complain about the heat, we've had a lousy summer in Scotland and it is nice to feel the sun on my bod.

Hi everyone!

Um...Toots...am I correct in my calculations that 23/24C is equal to 74/75F? That sounds downright chilly to me lol!! I'm glad you're getting some sunshine, I certainly have my share of it here in South Florida. I'm looking forward to a few days of relief from this sweltering heat when the boys and I fly to Connecticut next week.

All good here - I bought a townhouse! We were supposed to close this coming Wed but it might be delayed a few days. I can't wait - it's been 2 1/2 years but I am so excited to be a homeowner again!

Babs, the Friends and Family forum has been a great help to me at times. I'm glad you're enjoying the lake.

I hope everyone else is having a great weekend!
