Class of March 2013 Part 57
Wow Duff.....congrats honey, that is fantastic news!!!!! Want to see please. s
And ha ha....was sitting here saying to husband....23/24 at night is hot? Really? We often have 29 or 30 at night. Guessing you don't have air con dear toots....maybe a really good fan? I have one that is way too powerful for a house....more of a warehouse fan (oops)....you could try that one. s

Yeah was 29 last night and nope, only aircon in our room and hubby only lets me run it about an hour before we sleep so the room is cool then but boy does it warm back up quickly!
Don't forget, I'm used to summer highs of 19/20C daytime so it takes a while to adjust and then I head home back to the cooler temps and feel freezing!
Last night there was a guitar festival the music of which went on until 4am. I partially dislocated my knee earlier in the day swimming, so that was aching. All in all, another sleepless night! Of course, knee feels much better now! It's something that happens quite regularly after I damaged the ligaments and tendons that hold it all tight, every now and then it 'twangs' out then in again. Hurts like billyo for a few seconds then aches for a few days. Nothing big just an additional general nuisance!
Great news on the house Duff, how are you and the boys doing? Hows work? Still enjoying ?

Ouch toots. s
And I was thinking that you just might kill me yesterday for making fun....I do so get it love. s
Mabe hubby can put ear plugs in and you can leave the air con on on hot hot nights? I guess there could be lots of reasons he needs it off after an hour odd.
Nick and I have doona wars, but thankfully both like it cool in the bedroom. I have the aircon on 18.
Love to everyone. xx

Hi Marchers -
Serene from Feb 13 popping by to say ‘hi’
v - hope your arm heals!
toots - I wish you some cooler nights. I’ve heard on the news that Europe is having a record heatwave - hopefully you were spared
babs - glad you are back and going to meetings
wehav - good to see your post! It’s been a while and I hope you are doing well
dee - happy belated bday
saskia - Hi! I didn’t realize that you are in the March group too! (Sorry for not connecting the dots sooner!)
I’m up a little late tonight and enjoying a little chocolate while the whole family sleeps - getting a little decadent “me time”.
cant believe that aug is just around the corner.... what happened to this year?

Hi SE! I started out in the May 2012 thread but when I kept relapsing, I decided to join what I now call the Merry Marchers. It still took awhile but these great people helped me get my sober legs under me. I am eternally grateful! Happy to hear you had some quiet ‘me’ time - that can be enormously healing in the midst of a very full and hectic life
PJ, am I glad I logged on today - that is just awesome. Congratulations on your new instruments, on the healing of your hand, on how far you've come in just a few years...on treating yourself...you're just pretty all around awesome!
Toots, I promise I wasn't making fun of you - I just never have gotten used to the summers here in South Florida, they're brutal. And now Sass tells me I'll find no relief in New England
I hope you've been able to get a good night's sleep!
Things are going well, the boys are growing way too fast but they're having a great summer and work is better than ever. All in all nothing to complain about.

PJ, I just followed your link and read your post. Absolutely awesome, stupendous, and all other good things! . I am also a music lover - 13 years of piano lessons, competition in NYC (only honorable mention but that meant a lot, even if, as I suspect, we all got that). I am new playing the ukulele - good fun and not difficult for my missing brain :-). You, my friend, have travelled a very difficult path and now your life is blossoming more and more. You deserve every bit of all the good things you have achieved through your very hard work and dedication

Sass said it all PJ---I'm so darn happy for you ….
Went to AA again yesterday---I also shared and had a lot of support.
Everyone is so forgiving and I have a hard time with that....I also met a gal whose husband also drinks every night. Again---I'm so use to it that it's part of our eve. routine...but, anyway ---it was nice to connect with her.
Going to the lakes again tomorrow so, here I go again...like I said they all know I don't drink and are very supportive.
Hope everyone is doing ok...…
hugs
