Heading out for Dave Matthews. The show is in a remote venue in central Washington state, and it's a long drive.
Not much of a sobriety test last night, the stuff I saw confirmed that I don't don't miss drinking at all. Toward the end of the Foos show last night a girl near us dropped her beer and then actually collapsed on the concrete stairs. I got security, who did . . . nothing! Her boyfriend helped her up and my wife said that later she was being attended to by medical people.
Soooo...that's drinking for ya! Nothing cool about it.
Most of the crowd was older, and pretty well behaved.

I met a person at the show who's been sober for six months and I told her congratulations on that.

IWTA, congrats on 117 days, and big congrats for staying sober while on vacation. That is such a huge test and it's so easy to fail on vacation. I am so proud of all us. This is tough stuff....society encourages us to drink, but we know we can't.
It's hard at times, but it's 100 percent worth it.

Got back from Dave Matthews at 3 a.m. The show was long, but it was a three hour drive back home.
Good show, 100 percent sober, so no problem there. I wouldn't be able to go to two concerts back to back if I wasn't sober . . Foo Fighters on Sat and then the show last night. Mrs. Tiles and I were just talking, ...it was a crazy Labor Day weekend, but it's nice to be back home.
Today I'm going to do work for projects due later this week.

IWTA, it's a Led Zep song that was playing when I was picking my user name!

OOTT, I didn't realize the Dave Matthew's tickets were free, good for you guys. Livin' it up! Funny that Outonthetiles was playing when you picked your user name, I just figured Led Zep was one of your favorites. Better that than The Lemon Song or Moby Dick haha.

IWTA and CYH, you guys rock too!

Aly, I hope you are doing well recovering from the surgery.

Peace and love (as Ringo said) - JC

Hi All! I just got out of the hosp. the other day. The operation was a lot bigger and I have had a lot more pain than I anticipated, so it's been kind of rough. I'm hoping to get a lot of rest in the next few days. I have two follow up appts next week on tues and wed with the surgeons and a f/u with my reg dr later in the month. It's good to be home, but I don't think I'll be posting much for a bit, but I'll be trying to read, if I can.
Sounds like everyone is doing well. Thank you all very much for the well wishes. I'm in a little rough shape right now, but I think next week, I hope, I'll feel a lot better.
Take care all....Love, Aly ♥

Good report, Aly, glad it went well. Get some rest and post when you can.
What did the docs say about your sobriety, if they know about the change you've made. I always like to think that you can tell if someone's drinking or not, and it's great for one's sobriety to be recognized.

IWTA, congrats on 123 days. That is freaking awesome. You should be seeing some dramatic improvements in your thought process and appearance. For me, I was in such bad shape that even my balance was a little off. The improvements came gradually, but they're very noticeable. The brain fog wears off, clothes fit better, everything gets better.

Hey guys. Sad day today, sort of. After five days with our son, he’s headed out again to wherever the Navy tells him to go. I’m so incredibly proud of him, and glad he’s doing something so worthwhile, but how did our little guy suddenly become a man?
