Aly - how are you feeling ?
Yesterday, my anxiety was high and I was angry over something. I had to just walk away from the situation...became calm after sometime...
Day 126 no drinks, one day at a time, staying sober and strong...

iwta-you're doing great. Thanks for asking about me.
I saw one of my surgeons today. I see the other one tomorrow. The one I saw today had to leave my drains in, I can't wait to get them out. Then he told me he might have to redo part of my surgery. I know I should do what he says, but I've had to have quite a few surgeries and I'm not sure I want to have another one
Oh well, maybe I'll feel differently later on down the line.
My sobriety is going well. I hope everyone is doing well on that front.

That’s a real bummer, Aly, but hopefully they’ll do what’s best for you in the long run.

I hope everyone else is doing well. Sunshine is almost to 8 months, if I’m correct.
I’m still bumming because my son had to leave again, but it’s just life, I know. It’s not as if something bad happened!

Aly - hope all the surgeries go well and you will be fine soon.
CYH - I know how it might feel -- someone so close to you and have seen since baby just grow up into a teen and an little adult and walks away...you feel what just happened...He will be happy if you are happy...cheer up!

Thank you, Dee! My mom said the same thing. I'm going to be seeing him either next week or the week after, I'll ask him how soon they can do the second surgery. I think I have to heal a bit more. They put me on antibiotics today.
Anyway, you always have such sage advice and I sure appreciate you being around here!

Good morning, guys. Just a quick check in. Coming up on 8 months. This site and this group has been invaluable in getting that far, but I’m going strong and not stopping. The thought of getting drunk actually scares me; how weird is that? Something I did pretty much every day for years and years... Anyway, I’m sorry to see this group dwindle and be less active, but it’s like life, it’s always changing and that’s ok too: the inevitable and unstoppable Impermanence of all things. It’s great to be sober!

OOTT- thanks for being a huge sober supporter, you rock!
I miss you guys. Was at the cabin in New Hampshire last weekend and drank like I’ve always done there for the last 17 years. I brought home an almost full bottle of Makers Mark. Yesterday I was thinking that I’ll have some of it tomorrow, but this morning I dumped it all. It’s so true that old habits can creep back in real fast. I feel myself gaining weight and changing from the healthy/mostly positive person I was. Anyway, I’m going to a wedding tonight and will not drink.

CYH-I'll be back full force, I'm still not feeling tip top. It is a great group of people. Jimi, glad to see you back and thanks for the well wishes. I'll start posting more when I'm more up to it.

JimiC - Nice to see you ...Please make sure to come out of that dark cycle. It's easy feeling that you can stop because you have done it before, trust me it will get harder soon to stop....make every effort to stop now. Especially, when the relationship adjustments are going on..it's easy escape to drink. It's get harder to make good choices and decisions. We are with you..like OOT said, let's move forward. I know you already have done it by dumping that ****....with you brother...be strong.
