Hola all! Unless I'm missing something a vat is just a large container.

Anyways I hope all is still going well with everyone. I guess my new hobby for the next couple months will be weight loss. I managed to regain 35lbs of the 50lbs I lost last winter. Ugh, back to the grind!

Hey Upstairs! Great to see you! We were talking about chickens and Sam said her chickens come from "vats". I can't picture that.

Don't worry about the weight. It will come off. Are you exercising?

Hi all. An interesting day...tried to pay a bill online, nope. Could not pay in person b-cause they could not access it online. Then a homeless- very off his face guy who reeked- decided b-cause I chose not to contribute to his chemical happiness followed me- then mimicked the way I walked and shouted lots to prove a point. Then trainee cashier pushes wrong button- 10 minute delay. Then another online service fails. Then - asked to turn up an hour early to a meeting to set up. Turn up- sent message not needed, no one there. Go home- come back and asked to run meeting. There was someone there undergoing gender reassignment- very depressed, suicidal- very sad person. I asked, specifically for a long term sober person who has had this surgery to close the meeting with a share..about 3 minutes. NO! They spent 2 minutes shouting at me they will NOT share in such a short period of time. Then in the closing serenity bit- sniggers and giggles all the way thru. That last one really made my teeth itch. A simple no thanks would have been enough. Chatted to that distressed person after meeting- then walked with another distressed person who relapsed again- on top of a life threatening eating disorder. This person will run 20k a day- and not eat.
I did not drink. All just 'meh' not my problem- problems.

There is a thing on u-tube. an older couple in the late '30's, cut the head off a chicken (on of many) and it still seemed alive. It had just enough neural matter left- for it to be fed with a feeding dropper. They took this headless chicken on the road- and planned a future- retirement etc, based on it. Sadly the dead chicken choked and died. How bizarre.

Wow, Phoenix, such nasty people! They must sense your good aura, and want to just suck it right out of you because they're so miserable. I hate that! Kudos for having the strength to stay sober

I can't comment or think about the chicken thing. Too disturbing.....I eat chicken, though....makes me feel like a hypocrite sometimes....

Startin' fluid o'clock!

Lol! Okay the vat comment (a vat is a large container) was just a joke. My chicken is killed and then bought in stores just like everyone else's. I was trying to not think about the killing part and was just telling myself the vat story to make myself feel better.

Morning!!

PJ - I agree with Purplrks above. Also you have probably helped save countless souls in one way or another. You're a god-send. P.S. I am one of those souls - you guys have all saved me in some regard since "meeting" you.

Purplrks - hope you have a great day!!

BBG - I wondered if you would be watching the new BBT last night when I saw all the advertisements for it. And isn't it a let down when spin-offs are not nearly as good as the original (although that's almost always the case)

Kiki - 40000 steps is a lot of steps!! Wowza!

Great to see you Upstairs!

Well I am off to work. Going to be busy but just taking it moment by moment. Happy Tuesday!!

Morning everyone!

Nothin' much new on my end, but I'll bet I can stay sober today and that's half the battle.

BBG you might give Young Sheldon another chance. With a new show, the writers, actors, and director are all still working things out. Takes a few episodes before the show and characters know what they want to be.

My dad was an engineer and he loved BBT as well. A lot of people from the sciences seem to like it. Mayim Bialik who plays Amy actually has a PhD. in Neuroscience from UCLA!! Pretty cool.

Wishing all a good day. And thanks for helping me stay sober! I like it.

A cheating way to get 'extra' steps in.

Not only walking, but how many times a day- gentle readers- do we stymie our natural thoughts/feelings- for the better good? Applying the '12 steps'. So if we do this 100 times in a day- that is an extra 1200 steps. Plus a step in the right direction....if we walk 5000 steps, that doubles. So 10000 steps.
Simples.

Oh- the childish serenity breaker called me and left a message saying sorry. I am so good at pretending to be an adult at the meeting I told them after their rant, not to worry about it and I understood. I did understand....then I came here and bitched about it. Men bitch too, you know.

You've convinced me to give Young Sheldon another look Pelagic! Funny thing. I'm a retired engineer!!! LOL

Hi guys! Sorry I've been MIA, I probably will be most of the week. Today is my wee ones birthday, his party is Saturday and I finalized my menu just last night. I'm soooo on the late freight on this one. I make all the food and desserts from scratch by myself since another child has food allergies. Then of course I throw in making all the decorations myself too. That's the fun part though! Anyhow have a great week if I don't talk to you before and don't drink, that's stupid 😉

Checking in. Home and in my pjs. Have a raging headache that just won't go away. I think I've taken more Advil than a normal human should consume but so far it hasn't touched it. Meh.

PR - happy birthday to your little one! I used to love planning birthday parties when my girls were young! Enjoy!!

Well going to have dinner and call it a night. A dark room sounds heavenly.

Hello friends.....Today could've been better; I got written up at work. I somehow screwed up a procedure on a production order and they had to scrap all the materials and start over....estimated cost over $27,000. Boss said it was just being verbally brought to my attention (even though it was in writing and I had to sign it) ~ that they just needed the documentation for a big audit coming up and not to worry about it. (Of course I'm gonna worry about it.....I already effing worry about everything as it is!!!)

It doesn't make me want to drink, though, so that's good. Went to the gym after work and did a guided meditation....thinking I may need another one.....

Hope everyone else is doing okay!

I'm sorry about your crappy day Phoenix. People suck sometimes! I'm surprised "I" made it through the day without killing anyone! I swear all the crazies were out in my town too today!
