Today is day 5, happy to be here!
Hi everyone! I've had longish term sobriety before, but here I am again back at day 5. I'm so happy to be here. July will be my birthday month Thank you for starting this thread. Is there an easy way for me to find this thread to post in and connect often in these early days? I just searched "July 2017" and this came up but I'm wondering if there's a way to make a few favorite threads. Anyway, I'm super grateful to be here and to have woken up sober this morning. <3
Hi and welcome hns - if you just want to find the thread again bookmarking it in your browser bookmarks or favourites is a good idea.
You can also subscribe to the thread.
it depends on what device you're using, but for me there's a toolbar at the top of the thread- you'll see something there called thread tools.
From there you can subscribe to this thread and you'll get notifications when people post here

Hope everyone had a good weekend. Friday night was hard since I was at my local pool which has a bar set up on Fridays and the norm seems to be drinking. was a little sad that I could not have a cold glass of wine but was grateful Saturday morning. Especially after stepping on the scale. Down 7 pounds!!

Hi, everyone. Just finished day 2. I have been on day 2 before and know that it's always day 3 when I begin to fool myself into thinking that I can drink responsibly. This time, I am determined to continue my path to sobriety and truly grateful that I found this group yesterday.

Hello
I'm back for yet another attempt. I've had some relatively decent periods of sobriety but recently I'm beginning to spiral. My drinking has increased both in frequency and amount. Once started there is no discipline.
Today is another wasted Sunday. I feel terrible mentally and physically and I ready to accept all the great support from m people here.

Day 4 for me. I'm loving waking up in the morning feeling refreshed - getting myself a cup of coffee and jumping back into bed logging onto SR to catch up on everyone's stories and then taking my time to decide on what to do throughout the day. Its 0908am in the UK at the moment - will probably go for a little run and will also have a roast dinner over my parents house later. Its going to be a lazy one today I think X
Wake up Julyers!!! It's been almost ten hours since the last post in here. How's everyone doing?
1. Remember the first drink is the problem.
2. Ask for help as soon as you need it.
3. Help others anytime you can.

Hi Julyers, I haven't yet caught up on this thread, but I'm hoping i can join for support. I've been in a couple of monthly threads since I joined but keep having relapses and find that my home month thread and new thread with people who are in a similar place are both useful.
So hope i can jump in and looking forward to catching up on this thread.
And in trivia news, July is supposedly the National month for ice cream, blueberry, hot dogs, picnics, pickles, all of which I may be eating—in various combinations—in my efforts to keep AV at bay.

Start of day 2 here.
My last hangover was accompanied with a sore throats and fever and I'm still feeling poorly. Feeling determined and strong. I can sense I'll give it a good go again as I feel my flick has been switched.
Although this is day 2 I never drink Sunday through Tuesday/Wednesday so I'm anxious to start not drinking when I normally do drink to make me feel I've really started.
