Not sure how the interview went. Don't think the interviewer was overly keen that I don't know where which city I'm going to be living in come September, was hoping to avoid saying that be he asked me. I find out whether I got the job in 5-7 days times, if I'm not successful I'll probably have to look into some temp work.

So if this link works -
Indigo Road's Steve Palmer wants to help Atlanta restaurant workers battle substance abuse - Atlanta Magazine
This is what I'm about to be up to! Steve Palmer is a big restaurateur in the SE, from Atlanta, and he is a recovering alcoholic. He lost a friend to suicide - another alcoholic- and decided to start a group called "Ben's Friends." It is a recovery support group for food & bev industry folks who struggle with alcoholism and addiction. He opened the first one (it is a 503(c) group) in Charleston, where he has high profile restaurants, then one in Raleigh (a well-known chef there runs that one) and now .... in Atlanta! It will be Steve, me and one other Atlanta restaurant person (I know his name but have not met him yet) getting it up and going. I am so excited. Because it is not AA - though Steve and the others involved are largely dedicated AA-ers like me- we can promote, use FB, magazine sources, whatever we develop to get the message out. There's a lot more I could write- and I am sure I will after our first mtg 4/23- I am just so grateful that I have a friend in PR who works for mental health awareness, who shared this "Atlanta" magazine article, and that I took the initiative to track down and contact Steve.....God is so good. You can also look here (not sure I can copy the link? so hopefully you get the gist of: bens friends hope . com (all together).
THREE days off- haven't done that on a wkd since our trip to DC in Nov.
5K on Sat- this one is for the Atlanta Children's Shelter.
417 days is a great place to be.
Did I mention the house is on the market? And all parties are on board with the move, who'll be living where, etc.
Hang in there OT - lots of moving parts there. I know the waiting kind of thing is hard for me. Prayers to you.
Take care all -

Lee and PJ! Fantastic! August, that's really great! Being of service is so important! Be it to other humans, animals or the earth!
Badger, your daughter will never forget this college tour. Huge decision which one to pick, fun!
Just poured a bottle of wine down the drain. It was a gift and I was going to regift, but I decided having it around not a good idea. It wasn't calling to me, but still! . Keeping busy to keep the anxiety fairies at bay. I have discovered I own 26 hoodies which is odd.
OT, hope you have a good lie-in tomorrow. ( I think that is sleeping in here)
Happy Easter to you Dee!

Happy Easter everyone! Gosh I am just swamped with work. Doing my best to stay calm as things keep getting crazier. PL that was a great decision. For me, its strange. There's a bottle of home brew wine (gift from a not so close friend obviously) next to my seltzer in the fridge and I could care less. I told my husband he needs to take a sip to try it and then dump it but he hasnt. Lee - 14 months coming up for is is just so awesome. We all are doing so fantastic! Its finally warming up here in the northeast - its gorgeous! K off to eat popcorn and watch a movie. Life is good.

Kind of a frustrating day- early meeting was great then I had to go to a mtg about an old criminal offense; sounds like Fulton Co now allows record to be restricted and sealed that it didn't last year. Then wrangling with dr office and pharm about a refill - short of it is that my paxil has gone unrefilled and it will be cold turkey almost a week before I can possibly get it (Mon). Ugh.
Did a long nap (5 hrs!)- haven't been sleeping through the night lately- and we tried to do my taxes. Yeahhhh, it'll be an extension for me. Sigh.
5K in am- first time in nice weather where we can wear shorts!!
Hope you are all finishing up the week on good notes.
Take care

Wow, I go to work and come back this place is en fuego.
August, this is fantastic news. You're really emerging as a leader among us and in the ATL community. Is Ben's a "house," organization, program, meetings, or what? I think that alternative to AA would be good for people like me.
Good luck in the 5k tomorrow. you are doing so great.
