Class of October 2016 Support Thread Part 3
Congratulations on the milestones everyone! Winslow you inspired me to take a walk this afternoon. It was a beautiful day here.
Getting ready to have some hot tea and turn in early again tonight. I've just about shaken this cold.
I hope you all have a nice weekend!

I love my walks Suzyq was gonna splurge on an upgraded fitbit today cuz it was $40 off for black Friday but I figure I'll wait till after Christmas, I don't want to spend that much money on myself when I need to get family gifts, besides I like to buy myself treats for milestones and that will be a good one for January, hope everyone has a nice weekend

Today has been day 50 for me, and I cleared a big trigger hurdle earlier-hubby and I eating at our fav pizzeria and me not drinking a pitcher of Yuengling and getting all goofy. Then waking up the next morning at 5 am all grumpy. Nope, we are on our way to our room nice and full and no headache in the morning! Then I'll get to watch everyone else get sloppy tomorrow while tailgating!

Thank you, Winslow! I will get a HUGE confidence boost once I get through the tailgating/socializing tomorrow. I do think our friends will be supportive, so I'm not worried about that. Plus, I get to be amused at hubby, who will do a little drinking. Fortunately, he stays goofy. But he will feel like crap the next day, while I will feel great! Maybe I'll set an example for him in our tailgating future. That's the only time he drinks now, which still isn't much like he used to in his younger days.
50 days sober after today. Two big football games to watch today. Won't have to worry about having a drink because I'll be busy at work. But I'll have one eye on the tv to make sure my teams are winning.

This is my first day sober. I tried to stay sober yesterday and had such bad shakes that I had a glass of wine. I've been weaning myself off wine and the night sweats are finally gone. I'm terrified to leave my house in fear I'll cave and buy wine. I have to quit drinking in order to make my marriage better and life for my daughter better. All these posts are helping me when I feel anxious or want to drink.

Hang in there Jena. The first few days are the worst I found.
I did the same thing as you and just hid in the house for a couple of days.
You are very welcome here. You may find more people online in the newcomers threads if you are struggling.
Everyone here has been where you are and has lots of support.
Please keep posting either here on on newcomers.

You can do this JenaS! It will get easier.
If you have someone who can pickup a B Complex vitamin and melatonin from the drug store for you, I would recommend that. This helped me out tremendously when I was dealing with the anxiety and sleeplessness. I hope they will help you too.
Hang in there! Better days are coming.
