Happy friday everyone! I went to an annual Christmas visit with neighbors las night where I always brought a bottle or two of wine in the past. They already had some this year and everyone but me was drinking. Didn't really miss it, actually it felt good.

Suzyq glad it went well, day off today and trying to get my butt in gear to clean, I want it done but don't want to do it haha,daughter left for Portland last night,feeling sad so I'm not taking the tree down til Sunday, that'll add to my sadness so I'll wait, wishing everyone a fabulous al free day

Here I am!!!! Still rocking this sober life. Not counting days but I did for this post....66! Seems like much longer, in a good way. So much has changed for me and I can't even imagine ever drinking again, just ew. I'm working, spending every minute that I'm not working with my daughter and husband, running again, and I successfully completed my IOP class! I made a couple good friends in my class. My confidence is way up and so is my motivation. I'm so thankful for the support I received from this site when I needed it the most! I know I'm quiet but I promise I'm here and will always check in. It makes me very happy to see all of you doing well and I hope those who go MIA like I do are just caught up in enjoying their new sober life like me!!! Have a happy new year everyone!

Yesterday, when shopping with my wife, I picked up a case of flavored Perrier sparkling water. Today we were shopping and I picked up Raspberry Lemonade, Pineapple and Mango juice and some 'Ben Shaws' Dandelion and Burdock soda. I turned to my wife and said "I like not drinking, now I get to drink so many different other things.".

-Hello Occer's from the Ocker. Hope all are okay. 9 hours 23 mins until 2017 here. I was just sharing somewhere- this time last year to the hour I was passed out 9rotgut wine)in a cockroach ridden room in a boarding house- potentially hours from being homeless and I really did not know or care if I was dead or alive. Amix of the booze, body trauma and hospital keep me alive drugs. Now I am healthy, studying for a new career, safe with secure housing coming. SR helped- so stay safe these next days. Do not try the- I will go out with a blast- then never drink again bit.

Thank you everyone! I am so excited! I start January 9 so I have a week to wrap up my "sabbatical" lol. I'll still try and check in every day after I start working. It makes me so happy to see so many posts like this when I login. I appreciate you!
