I'm gonna check that out....thanks Conquest!

And who knows, my son may not follow through, but now I've got a framework in place to approach it if it comes to be.

Thanks for all those lines Vee. I've heard some from some of the various meetings I've been to. I love the "just for today" line so much now. Really believe it. When I was so down four months ago I read such an inspiring post by one of our fellow Octoberers, countrygirl, who doesn't post here anymore. I'll never forget it. She turned me on to the saying.

Thanks for that link Conquest. I read it through. A lot of it is great if your single living on your own. But that's just her personal journey. Mine and yours can be whatever you want it to be.

Hey Mark. Sounds like your boy needs to figure it out for himself. Experience by doing. I met a lot of people in my twenties that had similar ambitions.

Sounds like a great weekend getaway Briar! Gotta love that. Enjoy your time in the country.

I love it! Thank you Conquest and wolfie.

Glad you are feeling a bit better now...and hey, laundry is always fun for me!

Thanks for the documentary recommendation BD...that looks very interesting.

You're a very good dad Mark, and I love your positive attitude.
No reason why this can't be an incredible experience for your son.

Arbor ~ There is also a Just For Today book. I have that too. Wonderful readings.

Huge hugs guys. ♥

Mark, as parents we spend so much time preparing our kids to launch . . .

Funny how we suddenly witness their final preparations for take-off and find ourselves thinking 'no; there's not enough gas in your engines; your nose is pointed in the wrong direction . . . '.

Have faith that you have done your job well, Mark; you are a very good father; your son will find his way even if there are some unexpected curves in the road.

Conquest, I am so sorry that your surgery has been so difficult. I had a very bad reaction to gum surgery, and sub-par pain control. It was awful, and I think your work is far more extensive. .

I hope you are feeling better'

Thanks, Phoebe.
I've made it through the day on ibuprofen only, just needing a lot of quiet time to myself. Thankfully, my sweet hubby understands. I think he's secretly enjoying all of the video game time that he's getting. Hanging out around the house is not something we've been able to do a lot lately. We've watched several movies, read, hung out with family... and I'm a little better every day. I'm expecting tomorrow to feel even better now that the funky meds are out of my system.
I hope everyone has a great start to the week! Gnight

Hey guys, it was a good day here. I'm eating a lot and can see myself gaining weight right before my eyes. It's freaking me out knowing I'm back over 100, and it seems like every five seconds I have to shut down the thought that I'll go right back to restricting the minute I'm back home and will lose all this weight again.

But it's also a relief that my family isn't watching me with concern now that I look more like my old self. It's also nice to be able to snuggle with my daughter without sharp bones bothering both of us. When I was at my thinnest, I wouldn't let anyone touch me, so this is better. Plus I have energy again. There are a lot of positive things about this. I'm focusing on them, and it's working. I refuse to let this crappy problem ruin a nice weekend with my mom.

Conquest I'm glad you're feeling better. You're lucky to have a good man around to help you out too.

Mark I agree you're doing great with your son. He has to find his own way. He sounds like a smart, ambitious kid. He will find his place when the time is right.

Lots of great wisdom here. You guys share such valuable things. Thanks for that.

That's great to read Briar!!

Glad your feeling a bit better Conquest.

Another great artist has left us. Just heard Glen Frey passed. And although I'm not the biggest Eagles fan it's sad. Although sober for years I've read he always thought it was his past drug and alcohol use that plagued him years down the road. RIP.

I saw that, too, Arbor.

We have lost many music icons lately.

RIP, Glen Frey.
