Carlos: Yes everything here is blue. Even the fountain water has been dyed Royal Blue. I don't own TV.. but I keep up. It has even the least sports minded captured. My neighbor, who is the conductor of the KC Symphony told me that during Friday's concert he had to announce scores and such at every break. He was considering asking the networks for payment.

I am getting prepared for my trip to Philippines in about a month. I gave in and paid a bit extra for "premium economy" seats for the long haul legs. Mostly to relieve my short haul legs, back and nerves! Us who don't fly often do not get much consideration these days. Remember the times when airlines would upgrade you just for the heck of it. Oh well....

Have more medical crap this week. MRI for my ears and such. Dr wants to see if correlation between my weak left ear, weak left eye and weak left arm. More money out the pocket. I am not sure what my insurance will cover. Get the old charge card out if necessary.

Been beautiful fall here so far. We have missed all the rain, been dry actually. Only big rain was at the last ball game. Of course.

to the overs!

Just watched the Star Wars trailer finally. I like that there is actually a woman in the lead role, not just off to the sides as usual. Yeah!!!!! A real role-model for little girls who isn's a disney princess or a hero's love interest. There is hope.

Good morning overs!
Have a great week. Mags and Wolf I hope you expand your critter company all through their hungry winter.

We have a leak in the roof. They are sending out the roofing crew under warranty. This is our first "new" house and I just realized that the advantage to used is that all the kinks have been worked out and fixed. They'll fix it, and repair the ceiling and trim that was damaged. I'm not upset, it is just a stain as of now and with the torrential rains must not be much of a leak. No dripping yet.

Today the Surface 4 Pro tablet is out and available at Best Buy here locally. I will be going to take a look see. Not buying . . .today. I like the Surface 3 Atom processor tablets for their fanless cool running and 8-12 hour run time.

Ah the toys of today.

Drake,
I hope if they find something, that it is minor and can be fixed or treated so you get some relief.

I haven't flown since 9/11 but once for an attempt to get to my younger brother's funeral. The plane broke in Dallas so never got to upstate New York. Just turned around and flew the commuter turbo prop back to Shreveport Regional. I flew a lot until I retired from the military in 1998. Colombia, and Germany were long hauls to me. The Philippines is a really long haul.

Believe it or not, I've only been on a plane once in my life and that was a work-related trip to Pittsburgh. I much prefer to drive. I've made driving trips to southern Florida (more than once) and to upstate New York (to the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown). My dad also loved to drive and we took many a summer family vacation all over the US.

Time to take my car into the shop for some routine maintenance before winter hits. I'll walk back from the shop for a change of scene.

Have a great Tuesday, overs!

Thanks Itchy.. I want it all to be over, I have never had MRI.. most people compare it to torture.

21.5 hours flying time Kansas City to Cebu, Philippines Via Dallas and Seoul. Not sure which is more of an ordeal, MRI or flight.

Drake, I'd vote for 21.5 hours of flying time as being worse. MRI is noisy! but time-limited.
