Awesome Martina! I'm so proud of you for resisting the urge to buy wine. You should be very proud of yourself
As far as recovery methods, I've only used SR and rational recovery. Maybe you can reach out to the larger newcomer's group to get some ideas.

Thanks all...btw I read an amazing thread today in the main forum. Its from Brynn who relapsed after 6 months and its called 'only got myself to blame' the reply post which really got me was by RobbyRobot who has 33 years of sobriety. It really has stuck with me all day....If I knew how to highlight it to share I would...
What happened to Johnny? I think KeeKitty has joined us recently.
I am feeling better today. I just spent a bit of money on amazon.ca, that buy with one click is dangerous! I thought Rational Recovery had a kindle version, but I guess I was wrong. I stocked up on some books about recovery, Oprah's What I know for sure, and a couple novels. All on my kindle for summer reading.
Martina, glad you are ok! Have you checked out Rationalrecovery.org, it's a great tool, and it helped me immensely to gird my loins for some evenings out. I really don't recall going to so many socials, dinners, and events before quitting, but man, my husband seems to be a social butterfly lately, and we are having a date night almost once a week. I mean, its fantastic for our relationship, but it certainly keeps me on my toes about not drinking thats for sure. I have to stay focused and not let my guard down, hense the reason for my buying spree today.
I have been outside most of today doing yard work and cutting the grass. My dog had a skunk in the culvert earlier, so now he stinks, and I am afraid to go and cut the ditch.
I am off to the store for smokes, decidedly my last pack. I am going to use some of the techniques I've learned here and quit smoking....at least I can buy the nicotine patch to wean off the physical addiction first without too much b!tchy withdrawal symptoms.

Today is Martina's day! Total respect from all of us. We all have our massive ups and downs, it's almost as if real life is going on around us
Anyway, I read the thread Martina mentioned last week when things weren't going so great for me, at ZaB's suggestion. So while ZaB may be useless at counting people he has some positive qualities. Right ZaB 😀
Great to see everyone checking in. We are all doing so fantastically well.
What a great class!
Best wishes
