Morning everyone,
Good luck with that new job lead, Mariah. I hope it comes to fruition for you. I think you would be a wonderful, compassionate carer.

Obo, great work on ditching the cigarettes. What a great role model you'll be for Anna, getting sober in 2014, and being smoke- free in 2015!

Tomorrow, my parents will be coming to stay, just for the weekend. They need a bit of support. In the past we've been quite independent of each other, but since mums diagnosis, I've been seeing them weekly, and now we're going to see how they get on staying with us for a few days. It will feel a bit strange for all of us, so I hope it goes well. Unfortunately they're big meat eaters, so I'll have to put some effort in to the meal planning.

There's no way I would been able to invite them here for a weekend if we were still drinking! I would have resented every moment. What a blessing it is to have the freedom to help others without the shadow and shame of addiction.

Have a great day everyone, almost the end of week

Hey y'all...glad to hear from more of you guys!!
Up you sound in a teeny tiny bit better of a place from your messages, I hope that's the truth!

Obo- Grats buddy I'm still smoke free as well!!! I swear after a while it really starts to feel good...it's getting easier to breathe and my food tastes much better..I'm on your side buddy good luck!!! Around 7.5 months without a cig for me and I'm ever so proud. Probably more proud then coming of drugs and booze cause I actually enjoyed parts of that...smoking really is a wretched habit, and wanna support anyone else who decided to quit whole heartedly!

Rocks, Freen, Mariah, everyone else...thinking of all of you!!

I'm busy but good...feeling better every day I don't take Prozac...best decision ever lol

Worked 14 hours yesterday but only gave to work 3 hours today, was able to sleep in till noon and got up to get to my therapy session...went awesome as usual...treating myself to tacos (because everyone knows tacos have healing properties!) and gonna pick up an air conditioner for my place cause it's gonna hit 90 degrees in the big city...def doing well other then that and not allowing myself to dive back into a world of self loathing...

Hang in there fools! <3

That's great to hear ST!
I've only done a 9 hour day today, and I'm exhausted! You did another 5 hours on top of that, eek!

Rocks, glad to hear things are going well.

I'm having an early night, preparing for the onslaught of my carnivorous parents tomorrow. It should be an interesting weekend. Not sure if Dad will risk trying Tofu, unless I pretend it's chicken,

Hope all's well for everyone.

Freen- thankfully it's two different jobs and not the same one. And I had a decent break in between the two to get some food in me and relax for 45 mins or so...beats living at home!

It is a shame that no one can get through to top. I hope that things are ok.

Sorry about you losing your ithingy, perhaps it ran away because it doesn't like to be called ithingy.

I also agree about the tacos.

Way to go with quitting the cigarettes ST. I need to quit but can't seem to get on track.

Morning all,

I hope you get your i-thingy back, Obo.
UP, sounds like you might be ready to tackle the cigarettes too? That would be awesome.

What plans does everyone have this weekend? I'll be focusing my attention on my Mum, and hopefully pottering around the garden, so nothing too strenuous.

It's Friday morning, let's finish the week strong, I'm in for the Bargain.

4 am, why can't I sleep?

I've tried a few times free, just no luck.

Same plans as other weekends, just spending time home alone.

I'm in for the bargain.

TACOS!!!!! Lol
Thank you up i still puff a 0 milligram nicotine liquid in a vaporizer here and there when the cravings get really intense...I'm not 100% pure but pretty damn close...I would smoke 2 packs a day to the point where I would vomit my food up, pure nerves...so it's a dramatic improvement

Obo keep going every say without a cig is a small success even with chew

I have no idea what my plans are for the weekend...another 14 hour shift Saturday and Sunday off completely...probably gonna go skateboarding or grab a bicycle and go for a ride...plenty of relaxation too my body is drained from these weird work hours...that's about it for me!

I hope your weekend is going well.

Don't really have anything to share, just thought I'd say hi.

Hiya all. I'm exhausted! So I've come upstairs to bed rather early tonight, to make up for the late night last night. I'm trying my best, hoping that my parents have a nice break, but it's quite tiring.
On a positive note they have, bravely trialled some vegan dishes, and appear to have liked them.
Hoping it's nice weather tomorrow for a walk if they're up to it.
Hope everyone's enjoying their weekend.

It's good to hear that your weekend hosting your parents seems to be going good, albeit tiring.

Hope you have a restful day tomorrow ST.

Kinda depressed here, feeling alone. Can't think of anything that I want to go out and do without spending money that I don't have at the moment, also the few friends that I have are busy with their families.

Have a good weekend everyone.
