Class of April 2014 Part 21
UP, hope you've managed to get outside. Fresh air and nature can help turn things around sometimes.
My parents are still here, I think we've all settled in to each other's company now, we're all a bit more comfortable just being ourselves rather than trying to please each other (and just being annoying!). I think they're going home in the morning, so things will get back to normal soon (please!).
Hope everyone's weekend is going well.

Ok so I'm now hungry for tacos! Thanks a lot!
Up, I have to make myself get out, too. I have heard that a little sunshine can help to lift spirits. Hope you're feeling better.
Free- sounds like a lovely weekend. I'm sure your parents really appreciate all you're doing for them!
Lotsa stormy weather here. Sending kids off to camp tomorrow .

Not really izz, but it's life.
There's stuff a little to heavy to discuss in the open here.
They say what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. Like scar tissue protecting you but interfering at the same time.

My parents have gone home, and I'm now cleaning up a bit. It's actually been quite an exhausting weekend. Mum needs much more help than I realised. Just visiting once a week, I hadn't realised how much she relies on my Dad. She does a good job of covering up her symptoms, but over a weekend it's clear that the two of them are only just keeping it together.
I take my hat off to any full-time carers (like my Dad). It's amazing what love can get you through isn't it?
Anyway, back to normal again now, and I'm going to try to appreciate my body and mind while I still have both, whatever their imperfections.
I might even have a nap later, hmmmm that does sound nice

Thanks for that kind thought, UP. Alzheimer's is a horrible disease, but at the moment things aren't too bad, thank goodness.
Anyway, I'm hoping you get a happy break soon too. It's well overdue, but will appear at some point!

Morning Fools,
10.14am,
at the desk.....
Freein: Glad the visit went well. Parents are such an emotional roller coaster. My Mum is thinking about hip surgery at 65, it's just the start of it all!
Up: Pm me anytime if you want to share you stuff man! I had a bloke come over the other night for some advice. Ha! I laugh to myself as now I'm giving parental/relationship advice. The wheel does turn! Anyway he came over with a 6 pack. I put them in the fridge, threw him a can and took him outside on the balcony where he proceeded to unleash all hell! After 2 hours of ranting about everything he felt so much better, it was amazing to watch!
ST: You sound good bro.....
Izzy: Good luck with the kids away on camp. Little Anna is never going on camp or having a boyfriend, getting a tattoo, motorbikes etc...............
Dee: There seems to be an ice epidemic on in Melbourne...... Why do you think ICE is the drug of choice for so many aussies.......???
Hope all are well......
I'm tired all the time.......
Dreaming of drinking again.....
It's too hot.......
Exam period is hell for teachers too......!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
stay tuned......................
