Another Monday morning AND thankfully it is the first Monday in literally years that I haven't had a major stressful project to deal with. I think I might actually have a couple months of just minor projects. I could really use at least few weeks of just going to work Monday through Friday regular business hours with no weekend or off hours work.

Beth - Congratulations on passing the 3 week mark again. That was always a difficult one for me. I had several 3 weeks periods of not drinking before I finally stayed sober.

Dee - Sorry about the migraine week - sounds awful. Hope you are feeling better.

Beth - you are sounding better - that's good. Hope the good days just keep on happening for you.

My week is actually been quite pleasant. Have gotten quite a few minor chores done at work and at home without much fuss or duress.

It's been a long day. All good here! I am just So tired with lots too do

I have lost 10 pounds in the last month. I stopped eating carbs except broccoli. I think carbs, sugar and alcohol are all uncontrollable for. I can't just have a little. So i cut all but 20 carbs a day out of my meals. It' freaking hard but oh well. No pain no weight gain. lol

DAY 26

All or nothing baby...

Hope you guys are having a good week. I am glad you are feeling better Dee

Hey all,

I was thinking I have not had any alcohol craving since my 3rd day.The thought hasn't really even entered my mind. That's pretty cool, although I am sure it won't last.

I got a bunch of toy filled eggs for DD for an Easter Egg hunt on Sunday. It should be fun. I love that she is old enough now to get into it.

Things are going pretty good with me these days. Nothing crazy but I feel so much better both physically and mentally.

I think I understand now that being sober is just a small step in all the changes I need to make for my happiness. It's just a small piece of the puzzle of Beth. I have to find the other missing pieces to make it complete. Knowing that makes me strive to do at least one good thing a day for myself.

So anyway, I hope you all have a wonderful Easter weekend!

Beth - Being sober is just one step but it is a HUGE step not a small one. Being sober is the foundation that will help you through the process of discovering the missing pieces.

Your Easter egg hunt sounds like fun - I am sure your DD will enjoy it.

Lyddie your right it is a huge step, but just a small part of who I am. I didn't mean to make it sound trivial. I would be lost forever if I was still drinking.

I hope you are planning something fun for yourself Lyddie I am glad you had a nice and easy work week for once!

it was a huge step for me - but it was soon dwarfed by all the other steps I was to discover I had to take...so I have a foot in both camps LOL
