A+ for VC. I am going to share the chocolates with the class seeing as I can't indulge. wah
Everyone can only have a half of a chocolate because the class is so big.
VC use a knife to cut them Don't just bite them in half like last time so nobody will want one and you get to eat them all.

I'm now 31 days sober and I've started sleeping like a baby the last few nights. This feels great!

Welcome to the class Jowinbo. We are glad you found us. This is a great place to be.
I want to thank VC for posting that picture of a chocolate bar, a Mars bar I think.(my past favorite). Just seeing that poison sugary thing is helping my dieting resolve. Read my avatar. Just kidding. I can handle it---I hope.
Here's hoping that this is another great day for the class. The weekend is coming so stay focused.

Just kidding about the tough crowd ! But I did want to drop a note on how proud I am to be part of this group. You are all doing so well, most better than I. Even though I have had a slightly bumpy ride, I feel so much better than I did last year. My mind seems so much clearer, and the ability to at least control the beast has given me hope for the future. Lets all keep it going!!
Good morning class,
Another sober day yesterday, day 10.
I may have dodged a bullet for this weekend - the wife and I were taking about going out for a nice valentine's dinner. The beast within has already said that it's just one night, maybe just one vodka or one wine...........you know the rest of the story. But we don't have a baby sitter and most of the nice resturants are probably full, so I may not have to face that situation. Don't know how I would fare!
On to fight day 11.
Ya'll have a great Thursday, JT

Morning all,
Love getting here and seeing that you all are your usual rowdy selves.. Love this crowd.
Reporting to class - still hanging in here - over a month now and that feels good.
Great to see new classmembers - joinbow - you do belong here!
I started craving the "excitement of drinking" last night - not so much the actual wine but the emotional relief of drinking.. Life is feeling kind of bland to me right now and I don't know what to do with bland.. Will have to give some thought to other ways to spice it up. I friend suggested skydiving.. I suggested not skydiving.. Will figure it out but for now sitting in bland and that is OK.
Have a great day all you januarians! Love all of you! :ghug

Maybe you could prepare a nice dinner for your wife at home with candles and such. My wife says that that is what makes any woman's heart melt.
I don't know for sure as I haven't tried it yet Maybe next year.

Back to day 1----------------- on the sugarless diet that is. Still going strong on the drinking one though.
I met an old drinking bud that has been sober for 2 years and went for coffee. I am either going to have to just moderate on the sugar or drink coffee sugarless. I think I will modify the terms of the diet for now as a little ftof with another sober soul is more important than the diet.
Be right back to finish this post. I hear a Mars bar calling me.
