I'm sure Fubar will continue to teach here.

Fubar quote. "...spreading my verbal fertilizer around...."

My favorite.

Hey Masseyman

I think it's a pass/fail thing with the option of retesting if need be.

It's all about restoration, forgiveness and grace.

Massey is handing out assignments so I think he should be the teacher. All in favor say I.

Ok, I guess I missed something here. What is the teacher? Is that the person who started the thread?

Day 6 here. Might have to go back to the hospital due to the Pancreatitis. Sucks!

Hey Massey, you know what the best fertilizer usually consists of though, right?

Hint: You can find lots of it on a farm.........

Glad to see so many appear to be making it through the weekend. I've got 27 days of sobriety under my belt and after today it will be a month for me. I can't believe I've gone this far. I owe so much credit to you guys and SR for helping me through this.

Viciouscycle....I think that was Fubars' point....lol

Have a great day class of January....and ya, it looks like alot of us continue to make it thru tough weekends. Something I was, and am, worried about, especially in the beginning of this trek.

Good day all!

Hi Class, I am glad to hear we dont have to leave the Jan. class for a slip. I fell last Tuesday, so I am back to day 5. What is bad about it, is it triggers so much anxiety for me for a few days after. I am keeping busy with work and school work.

Welcome to all the newbies! I am glad to hear so many people are doing so great. I will try to visit more often, but this place is addictive and I tend to not do my homework and just read and post here.

fubar - I like the idea of movie night!

Michigangirl,
Glad to see you back with us and on the Class of Jan. wagon. Don't beat yourself up for a fall - you fell and picked yourself right back up. I guess - try and figure out what the trigger was and avoid that in the future.

Class: I'm into my 8th day sober (completed 7 sober days - a week!). Feeling good that this can be a lifetime thing!

Have a great Monday everyone! JT

Good morning all. This is my favorite thread.
Too bad for the slip michigangirl but these things happen and we are glad you are back in the class.
Penalty 100 lines
I will not drink today
I will not drink today
I will not drink today

No cut and paste either it is against the rules.
Seriously though it is great you hopped right back on. If a small slip was grounds for expulsion we would be thinning out.
No smoking in the girl's room though.

Hope everyone has a good day. I am starting my no sugar diet today so if I am a bit nasty just ignore me.

Good luck on the no sugar thing Fubar! I need to hop on that wagon as well...maybe next week for my month sober treat....if you can call it a treat. Maybe its more of a 'trick' than a treat eh?

Good day!

Fubar & Massey,
Good to see you both coming back to cheer us "2 weekers" on - i know I need it. Ya'll need to come down south and out of that cold gray north (I grew up in Lansing, MI - I know the winters). It was about 70 here yesterday.

I visited (Lurked) the 30 day thread - wanted to see what I have to look forward to - looks like a good group there too - with you two and others that I am familiar with.

Keep up the good work and the sobriety. JT

Hey JS, an MSU guy eh? How could you leave this beautiful dark, gray, cold, wet, windy, gray, muggy, snowy, gray....did I say gray?...how could you leave such a wonderland? HA!

Actually I love Michigan winters...I grew up 'up north'....guess I got used to it and tricked my mind into loving LOOOOOOONNNGGG cold winters. A quick visit to the warmth of the south is always a welcome thing long about now though....especially when winter has lasted for about 4 months already. 70 sounds pretty good right about now. hmmmm

Peace today!

I knew you couldn't stay in retirement Fub! See? You are handing out assignments! Would you consider being at least a substitute?

Massey,
Is it gray up there?!?!?! Oh - only for 4 months. Gotta love those summers, tho - the best! I still have a lot of family up there - Just north of Lansing and Greenville. My brother loves the winters too - got a few "sleds" and makes it fun. Parents are snow birds - in FL in an RV Park. Isn't attica just south of the thumb - we used to spend all of our summers in Caseville - lots of great perch fish fries 35-40 years ago.

Yes, I am a MSU grad and junkie - NMU for 2 years and then State for 2-3.

Sorry for the Michigan talk everyone - we will now return to our regular scheduled program (Fubar!)

JT

Hi. Looks live everyone is up early and feeling cheerful. It's kind of a gray, gloomy day here and I hope I don't get feeling the same. On Day 9 here and the last couple of days have been a little harder. This is the place where I've always had the most trouble. I've only once gotten past Day 10 so I'm worried. That time I was good for 3 years so I'll just keep plugging along - when I hit 2 weeks or so I think I will be better - kind of get in the habit of not drinking. 5:00 p.m. yesterday was my worst spot yet. Seemed just the right thing to do to have a drink but I didn't. Once I had supper I was okay and very tired.

I just had a thought; two weeks ago Day 9 seemed like an impossibility yet I'm here. Thanks for listening everyone and letting me see how great you are all doing. I'll be back.
